[quote]Me and a few of my mates had a massive discussion about Destiny's "lack of story" and we came to a very peculiar conclusion, While Destiny's story developed by Bungie is almost non existent what it does strive almost perfectly in, is allow the players to do great roleplay & character development. The game seems to have the kind of story that you can expand on with your own stories and ideas, Like fan fiction but based of your own guardians. A great example of this is my current hunter class who I have currently developed a three page word document consisting of everything from her back story before being a guardian to her future ahead in the destiny universe, I have even tied in the current story and some of the elements rumoured to be the in the DLC packs. My point being that not many games have the right set of tools and the right universe to properly expand characters at a level like that. Now im sure most players probably find that to be "Stupid" and "Silly" but most of the PC community has been doing it with games for years and from that Sequels have almost always been built around community ideas, stories and concepts from the wonderful fan fiction and so on that players have created. :) If your still unsure what im saying, here is a dumbed down summary of my current Hunter class's story and character to better understand what im on about with this post; https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B40d_zGnHnZCRTlCUXFrVXJTWGs/view usp=sharing I honestly feel that mabye Bungie planned for such a thing in the first place when they said "Create your own stories" but please don't take this as a post about why no story is a good thing, im simply stating an alternative to the issue.
