The engram is great, but the color scheme reminds me of what a tainted exotic might look like. It should pulsate a dark aura to separate it from it's brighter brethren. Orange was said to be the next tier of ultra exotic or whatever they're gonna name it. If it's true.
What colors did you originally think off? I think purple, obviously a bad choice since that's legendary. But what if what made it different was the shimmer on it is a dark gloss and the rest of it looks like it's sucking in darkness from all around it. Idk, man, just a fellow artist giving some friendly feedback.

What if they contain weapons that already exist, but the stats and perks are crazy. So take Suros for example. That thing fires slowly at later levels, but what if this tainted version has a rate of fire like Hard Light? It could also have a poison perk like Thorn's or an always active radar. And it has a dirty appearance, as if it's been lost in the void for years. Or not :D

I was actually thinking the same. Darkness tainted exotic drops. Though if we are truly light and until a dark class appears I think it should do something negative to you as well as have nutty perks and the dilapidated look; and you knew where I got the idea for the dark aura emanating from the engram, nice.
