This reminds me of all the endless engrams I gave to the Cryptarch before he was "Talked down." And I hated that. Maybe if this engram granted a higher chance for an exotic item maybe I would like it. That damn Hard Light still alludes me, oh but I will keep chasing it down until my Titan (BTW, thanks to the Iron Banner, I finally will be able to reach lvl 30 and my Titan actually looks like a damn super soldier instead of a space pirate) finally get his exo hands on the rifle.
Of course, I will resume my hunt once I have quelled my GTA hype.

You'll like edit 7 I think then.

Like completing a exotic bounty. Only that I wont require to buy 50 sythesis or hit the crucible to charge a exotic weapon core. I like it though. I was thinking, maybe this engram would be decoded into a clue or some sort of item that, taken to the right person (E.G, Speaker, Vanguard, Factions, hell even Xur), will unlock a special set of objectives. Once those objectives are met, you would get the corresponding exotic item. For example; You killed a Praetorian on Venus, he dropped the engram you took it and decoded it, the clue turned out to be a map. Take the map to Cayde (Kinds of fits him because he is a hunter and you are pretty much hunting for something, besides, he loves maps), and he will make some sense out of it. After doing so, cayde will provide you the location the map was pointing to (which is Venus, since the engram dropped on venus, it would be great to make the clue location specific). The map turns out to be a guide to Super Good Advice. The location cayde found on the map is the Vault of Glass. Venture into the vault, once inside, your next objective will be made available. According to the grimoir, Super Good Advice was crafted by a teammate of Kabr. And Kabr's team ventured into the Vault, so it would be a relevant place to find Super Good Advice. Complete the objective (Which is to collect a mind frame from a Gorgon) Once done the mind frame is collected, a waypoint will appear, follow it, and it will lead you to A) the chests that are in the maze B) to a random area between Gorgon's maze and Atheon's throne room. Follow the waypoint and once you arrive, a chest will be there, open it and Super Good Advice is yours. This method would add more relevant ways to get exotics. The Thorn was supposed to be obtainable via Charlemagne's Vault, instead, kill a knight on the moon and cleanse the gun to get Thorn.

Edited by TitanKnight: 11/20/2014 12:09:19 AMMuch appreciated. Your ideas are great though, and that Engram looks sick, Nice job. If only bungie did this....

I would edit this part from number seven:
The Black engram drops random pieces of a set of 5 exotic guns. You have to earn 3-4 pieces of a gun to get it. so you would need multiple Black engrams.
You can make it to sound more relevant to the idea. Instead of random pieces of 5 exotic guns, maybe say "The Black engram drops a clue to a certain exotic item. and instead of saying 3-4 pieces of guns, maybe "Complete a set of specific objectives to get the corresponding exotic item the clue was referring to." It is your choice, and I am 100% sure that you will use something better than what I provided lolz. Keep up the good work my friend. Oh and.... BUUUUUUUMMMMMPPPPP!!! Bungie needs to see this.
