Hello,
I hope this helps someone else as well.
Comcast modem: technicolor tc83
Tl;dr;
1. Enable bridge mode on the modem/router
2. Plug in directly or into another router.
* I tested this on a Cisco and direct connect.
3. Play error free!
I don't remember all the error codes I received before. But some included:
Hawk
Beetle
Caterpillar
A few more.
I play this game fairly often and recently my experience had been subpar. So I decided to perform an experiment to see if I could improve the condition. for the record the condition was a lot of error codes almost every 5 mins unless playing crucible.
I have the Comcast technicolor tc83 modem and router. For my initial setup I was simply using the box as is. Once my errors started to occur I immediately tried port forwarding the Xbox live recommended ports. This helped a little but did not solve the problem. After a week of errors, a server update and more bug codes later I decided to try something else. I had an old Cisco router laying around and I decided to hook it up and use it instead. I logged in to my comcast router and enabled Comcast bridge mode. Then I started up destiny! Hurray it worked I could now play an entire mission without being completely ejected from the game.
It has now been a couple of days since I have made the switch and I haven't been kicked for an error code yet. I have also noticed decreased world load times.
I hope this helps someone else out there if you haven't already done this.
