Thank you for your intelligent post. You obviously know your stuff. As you touched on, even with proper prep, plasmas can be sensitive to static images. I ran slides for well over 200 hours before even using my set. I also found different calibration settings to use for different content. As you described, I too have a sharp eye for detail, which is why I went plasma in the first place. This issue in Destiny very disheartening in that Battlefield 4 gave me no issues what so ever simply thanks to the addition of the opacity slider. I'm certain I am far from the only person suffering from this issue, yet have the willingness to throw rocks at Bungies window until it's at least addressed.
