What the -blam!- is this shit? That's me, a level 30 Defender being one shotted by a level 25 Hunter in Iron Banner. That same hunter would finish in 2nd place on a team full of 29s and 30s.
I was told, explicitly, BY YOU DEEJ:
Power. Does. Matter! (no, really)
Only players Level 20 and above can lead a Fireteam
Players below Level 20 can accompany more powerful friends
Players within 3 Levels can be competitive with each other
Your DEFENSE rating affects how you take damage
Wear your best (highest rated) armor
Players out of your league will seem like a Boss
1) Do you need help doing math? What is 30 - 25. Is it 3?
2) Do you need help with the definition of "out of your league" and "boss"?
3) Please explain why Level 25's are able to one shot level 30s, with regular weapons (nonheavy) in IB. Would it have been so hard to use a damage dampening function that ceilings at (opponentMaxHealth-%10) for the sake of making light level ACTUALLY matter? Seriously?
Bait and -blam!-ing switch dude. I resubbed my psn+ for the chance to make my raid gear shine, and now I wish I hadn't.

Edit: Because all of you are idiots
1) Yes my shot did not connect and kill the guy. At no point did I claim I wanted people to die when I looked at them because they are a lower level than me. Please feel free to spend precious moments of your life to tell me I missed, as I clearly had no idea.
2) If the light level damage dropoff curve is so pathetic in IB 2.0 that a decent shot from a non-heavy weapon is still a one-shot despite a huge level gap (>3), then your light level doesn't matter in practice. Only in theory. If it only matters in theory, this is IB 1.0
3) I typically do patrol mission bounties etc before I log out. I do not do these in my level 30 set because my level 30 set has way too much strength over disc/int thanks to rng. Is it so hard to imagine that a guy can log off in a not level 30 set and still be level 30 when he wants to?

Edited by AytonHunter: 11/19/2014 4:04:45 PMI watched the video and saw you instantly switch to your Fusion Rifle... then I watched you try to kill that Hunter with it... And then I disregarded EVERYTHING you posted here. Firstly, a lvl 25 can have a fully upgraded gun so the damage will definitely matter. You either have shit defence or your just generally bad... which brings me on to... The second point is that your one of those Destiny players I despise. I will mention again that you INSTANTLY switched to your fusion rifle which, by all means, can kill in ONE shot. In the clip you didn't have "terrible" aim, but you clearly missed him by a long shot, probably hit him a little in the hip at best. The Hunter was also using a Fusion Rifle, but he shot it much closer to you.. and probably had better aim (headshot even). Third and Finally, you seem to disregard the fact that PvP does rely on skill too. Just because you've got fully upgraded raid gear and fully upgraded guns DOES NOT mean you can just run around like a fool, using no tactics and heading straight into a fight with another fusion rifle user, who happens to have better aim than you. Please stop QQing when, from that clip, it's quite clear you're just not very good at PvP. I'm not saying Fusion Rifle users are terrible, but -blam!-, how about switching to a Sniper for once? Or actually using your Primary, instead of relying on your 1 shot weapon and the hope that your the first one to get the heavy ammo. EDIT: Mainly, it was the clip itself that made me give this response. However, given without the clip, I can agree that a lvl 25 should have considerably less damage on a fully geared 30 Titan. I've actually had fights with Auto-Rifle dudes, who happen to been a lower level but have a better fully upgraded gun (Compared to my Atheons Epilouge which isn't fully upgraded) and have dominated me. It just so happens that this clip feels like a bad example of all the points you made.
