So I got the Ice Breaker back when Xur sold it, but I actually got given it last night in the nightfall.
Do I break down the maxed out one I have and fully max the new "earned" weapon so I am some how superior to the filthy Xur casuals?
EDIT - Ive tried burning it and showering but the filthy casual smell wont come off
-
Drops are perfectly randomized, so if you've "earned" one exotic then you're just as entitled as anyone else to any weapon. Your pride is misplaced silly
-
I say you earned it either way. I know people bitch about buying the weapons from Xur but either way you spent time grinding away to get the weapon. Last week we carried a lvl 26 through nightfall and he was awarded with Icebreaker at the end. He told us it was his first time doing nightfall so basically for 2 hours of game play he "earned" Icebreaker. IMO he earned it waaaaay less than someone who got 9 strange coins from doing the weekly and 14 more through who knows how many hours of grinding. The only people I see complaining about Xur are people who were LUCKY enough to get the exotic they want as an award. It's funny how the second someone gets one as a drop they "earned it", as if the people who bought it from Xur did so by simply turning on their machines. I've not received an exotic from Nightfall but when I do I'm definitely not going to call for Xur's head.

You should destroy both and then smash your copy of Destiny (unless it's digital, in which case you should stomp your hard drive). That is the only way to wash away the stench of buying from the uber-scrub, Xur.

lol funny guy makes funny troll because funny guy knows theres no difference and only not funny guys think there is +1 for funny guy
-
Lol do it
-
Both are earning. You have a good one with effort and resources put into it, and one with nothing. Which do you keep?
-
It still baffles me how people actually think being randomly rewarded an item could possibly count as "having earned it". I'm probably just too stupid.
-
I got the IB from Tiger playlist before Xur sold it but I don't care that he did. Personally even though I got it from RNG the first couple days of the game, I hope he sells Thunderlord so everyone can experience it's epicness.
-
Give one to another character P.S. Nice troll
-
"My gun says Desert Eagle .50 on the side, your's says REPLICA".
-
Stats, that's all that matters. Bought better than drop? Keep the bought, if not break it down
-
I have the same dilemma with my TLW i bought it on the Friday then got it on the Monday from the raid. My problem is, I hadn't used my xurned one, so I can't tell the difference between the two of them. Can anyone help me?
-
No difference between either. Xurn is a stupid term and you vant earn anything in an rng based system. Jusy put it on another character and max it out so you dont have to transfer all the time
-
None of this matters. Buy those weapons, earn them, it doesn't matter. Just keep killing. And especially slay the fools who doubt the "authenticity" of the guns xur gave you
-
Be a filthy casuals. There's a clan for that. :)
-
-
i have 50 strange coins and see no reason not to buy an exotic weapon i like.
-
Xurn, earn. It's all the same.
-
I would keep both, give the other to a different class or character you have created. Make a character if you haven't made a second one yet. Icebreaker is not worth dismantling.
-
instead of xurn or earn, why not burn? EVERYONE SHALL BURN
-
Rng isn't earning you scrub.
-
There is no earning. Stop with these posts.
-
Its doesnt matter
-
For the last time rng is not earning
-
Xur is earning.
-
Save it for an alt. Switching weapons/armor, sucks.
