His fusion hit you directly. You missed an only got his shields. Fusions are long range shotguns. His is probably maxed out. Your weapons don't scale with your level if they're maxed out there maxed. Sure your defense may be higher. But if his is fully upgraded it's no suprise that with a direct hit he ended you. Again, you missed.

Duh to everything in here. I know how the guns work. The argument here is: thats not how defense should work. Defense only matters if the player can notice it. If there is no noticeable difference in defense with level gaps, IE, both me and a level 25 are capable of one shotting anyone in the match with the same gun, then defense isn't being used properly as a stat.

What you just said has nothing to do with your original post. At all. In your OP your complaint is that he is lvl 25 and your 30. Amongst other things that had no direct definition of how you see the defense stat should work. With that said, I do however agree that the defense stat is garbage. With our defensive stat and our armor in our subclasses, we should be hella hard to kill period. Back to your original complaint. The answer is still this. You missed lol. Had you meleed him you probably wouldve killed him instantly if your 30. But bungie even stated that even fully upgraded blues shouldn't be taken lightly. So it's still working as they intended you just had bad luck

Just because you dont like the way it is doesnt mean that its working wrong. They meant to make it so 25s could beat 30s if they had good enough guns. If you had a maxed gun, youd be able to take out 25s easy, as long as you stop missing. I mean, you got him with maybe one round of the fusion rifle and took out all of his shield, how much more of an advantage do you need? What are you expecting man, if youre not good, youre not good.
