I have not checked, but the area did exist before the patch - but not as a visible spawn point. The path went up to a crater filled with human bones, if it is the place I am thinking about. Have seen a couple of people post about it, and it sounds like it is definitely changed, in regards to having the typical spawn debris around it.
Hope to check it out tonight, before I jump back in to DA:I.

Yea, that's the area I'm talking about. There's a flag/banner on a pole up there. I wanna even say it's checkered too.

Definitely don't recall seeing anything other than the bones up there, so it really does sound like it is new. Only reason I know that the crater and the path to it was there, is that it is part of my farming run. Helium coils used to spawn up there, from time to time. Would imagine that if they have not completely stopped spawning up there already, that they will soon.
