Just saw concept art of the cabal exclusion zone over mars, it looks like a borg armarda but with triangles instead of cubes. Looking at that powerhouse I can't help but wonder, how the -blam!- did our guardians make it past the exclusion zone on our first trip to mars? Ghost even says "Nothing gets through their exclusion zone." There's no cutscene or anything, we just pop onto the planet like the cabal were all on their lunchbreak.
Anyone got an explanation for this?
-
Well, when you approach Mars, there's like nothing. Just nothing. There ain't a Cabal Space Exclusion Exclusive Impossible-to-pass Heavily Militarized Zone.
-
Slip the psion 20 glimmer at the gate,
-
Here, have some pie :)
-
Because it would be far more interesting than what we're playing right now
-
It's just a typo. It's supposed to be, "exclusive zone". They didn't plan for the Xbox players.
-
"These aren't the guardians you are looking for." Obviously.
-
Those are concept for an enemy we haven't seen yet....probably a direct enemy of the traveler. Giant spheres vs giant pyramid type shizz...
-
"Exclusion" is related to "exclusive", so it's really a fancy way of saying "the cabal claim this area for ourselves and ourselves alone." It doesn't mean impossible for others to enter, just VERY difficult. Of course... A three hundred year old war or what have you with homicidal alien battle droids who teleport is going to render orbital security rather irrelevant I think. That and guardians are basically space Jesus...
-
Those pyramid ships are not the Cabal. It's been speculated that it's going to be a new enemy type introduced later on in DLC, or Destiny 2.
-
I could tell you how we got past the exclusion zone. I really could.
-
The oracles removed them from existence for us
-
I could tell you about the epic battles fought on the moon, The Great Psion Bribing, the stories of deception... I COULD TELL YOU about the thing called "Bawb", about the angry space turtles(with jetpacks), or even the great lunch break........... Tl;Dr: summary of comments... Your Welcome

I kinda waltzed right on in. Not much of an exclusion zone.
-
In the history of blockading, there will always be gaps, blindspots, and other complications that small, single scouts tend to slip through. ...Ironically Guardians tend to be just that. Small single snubfighter scouts. Now, I'm sure any well coordinated military will have listed blindspots and other complications that will be listed as "problems to take care of" as well as access codes that automated defenses (which are part of the Exclusion Zone) will recognize as "Friendly" when pinged by Identify Friend or Foe systems (IFF). So what do you think will happen when a lone infiltrator (You) happens to manage to slip inside the Exclusion Zone through a rare gap and manages to steal the following? IFF signal codes. Patrol Routes, Numbers, Unit Composition, and Schedules. Identified issues such as system maintenance, times, and unresolved blind spots. Weapon and Base Schematics. Response Plans. Packages it all up into one big "Exclusion Zone Scout Report" and delivers it to the right people for spreading it out among the rest of the Forces available. Your once impenetrable defense suddenly has more holes then swiss cheese and the hungry rats are about to swarm.
-
We slipped in through a gap in their continuity... DEFENSES. I meant defenses.
-
Yeah I have wondered this to Because when you bring the gatelord head to the queen the brother says "good luck getting thorough the exclusion Zone" then we just pop up on Mars. Like wtf!!??
-
I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain.
-
We walked through the front gate. No, I'm series. That big ass wall across mars? Yeah, you literally walk through an open, poorly defended gate. It was disappointingly easy. I was hoping for an epic siege where I had to break through the Cabal lines amid artillery and defense installations. But no, those turrets are turned off or broken and you can literally walk past the slow angry space turtles.
-
The Borg! I had this Picard/Borg action figure back in the day man.... Sick!!!
-
I'm pretty sure they were concept ships for the Vex, until they realised that the Vex don't need ships, as they can teleport anywhere in seconds.
-
Because we picked up the exclusion zone and moved it somewhere else!
-
We got "included"
-
Those are a different breed of enemy, that can be explained in Destiny's sequel, Geometry Wars.
-
"Good luck getting through the exclusion zone..." *flys straight through* x)
-
This is seen in the installation of the game on the PS four I thought this was what the vex warp in from

It got cut it'll be in the DLC to come for sure.
