Does Bungie/343 have a canonical reason for Jorge's absence from the Spartan II program before Halo Reach?

He is a SPARTAN-II so there really wasn't a reason, because he was never absent.
-
Translates to "we made him up to put in that game"
-
Of course. Just like any new Character.
-
I thought you were implying they planned it all along. Which would be awesome but who could of guessed how big halo would get.

Edited by Lord of Admirals: 11/18/2014 12:35:32 AMBungie sure as hell didn't. But this is a lore Q&A so I was referring to Jorge in the context of the fiction rather than external reasons.

I gracefully bow to your knowledge. The last halo book I read is Ghosts of Onyx how do I catch up.
-
How do you catch up? By buying and reading the lore you missed out on?
-
Which book next is what I meant.
-
Chronologically... That would be Glasslands.
-
Is it next in release order as well?
-
No, next would be Contact Harvest, and then Cole Protocol after that.
-
Should I read in release order or chronological?
-
I think you could get away with either, obviously, if you decide on a book apart of a trilogy, finish off the trilogy.
-
Canon wise do you think the BR could have been in reach? Also, up to onyx at least, your favorite epic thing master chief does and same for cortana. Master Chief and cortana separate or together whichever you choose.
-
Yes, BR was definitely in service at Reach. The reason why the player never encounters it in Halo: Reach is because NOBLE Team is with SPECWARCOM, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Army. The key thing there, is that the Army is the only branch who didn't replace the M392 DMR with the BR55HBSR.

I now hate the army for not switching. Lol
