Luckiest RNG drop ever. Wow. Might receive some hate for this one.
So last night I was playing some Tiger strikes, mainly because I was bored and already had completed the bounties I felt were worth it, and the daily..and something crazy happened.
I actually was trying to complete my last bounty of the day, "Complete any strike without dying" and was about to fight Valus Ta'aurc (hopefully I spelled that right). While getting him to about 1/3 health I decide to fire my rocket launcher Hezen Vengeance at his b*tch ass and next thing you know A PHALANX JUMPS IN THE WAY. I died from the explosion and well...I was pretty pissed. All of this is besides the point tho because this is when the story gets good..
The next strike I was placed into was on the summoning pits. So I spawn on the game and next thing you know the chick is all "another hive abomination has been destroyed" and I'm like sweet I got this bounty without doing anything. But then when the rewards were distributed I received PLAN F'N C and an armour shader I never heard of before "cytherean bloom" and I was pumped!! I got all of this stuff with 0 kills on the strike because I spawned at the very end, I bet those kids in there were so pissed. I also received a rare fusion rifle through a blue engram, this finished off my second to the last step for Pocket Infinity bounty. I then got my 200 kills on the nightfall with Plan C and I get Pocket infinity. What an amazing night, for once Destiny RNG was cool.
Luck was definitely with me.
**edit: it appears Cytherean Bloom is not special, it's just ugly. According to most of the comments. I don't think it's that bad, but I went back to Bloodpact cuz it looks best on my Hunter 👍👍**

Hopped in a hard mode raid with some friends at the oracle save point. I had an exotic helm, raid gloves, and legendary chest and legs. Had them all maxed for weeks. We do the oracles and boom, RNG gives me raid legs AND chest in the same drop. Threw days later I'm level 30 finally :) Another RNG story: my group of friends called me in to the old cheese of atheon on HM back before I had ever done a HM. I sit for 3 minutes, atheon walks off. Mythoclast.

3 RepliesI was on crucible. 28 kills, and ALL MY TEAM MATES HAVE 7- KILLS. The guy with 5 F***ING KILLS, LOWEST SCORING IN THE MATCH, GETS THE F***ING MONTE CARLOS, AND WHAT DO I GET???? Nothing. F***ing RNGesus.

1 ReplyI have never found an exotic " in the wild"... My only exotics come from bounties and earning it through xur. Maybe the rng just hates my whole IP address because even on two characters multiple nightfall and a few raids no exotic what so ever. But I do have 3 chatter white and 4 raid class items.

That's how I got the last word basically, I was playing nightfall with my friends about three to four weeks ago on the archon priest nightfall died in a tight spot near the beginning of the fight with the archon and they couldn't get to me. When the fight was over, I was rewarded tlw! My friends weren't pissed, but teased and laughed it off.

Plan C is sweet but the cytherea bloom shader is horrible. I got the Plan C and Aetheons Epilogue for beating Aetheon on easy last week.

Or yesterday, or day before, a guy had the lowest kills, and spent 50% of the boss fight in the respawn screen from dying. Got the Hawkmoon. Best I have got is 2x Ice Breaker and Red Death from engrams.

I got a legendary engram for heavy weapon yesterday and I just had some feeling about it. So I head over to the bitcharch and he decodes it for me, and guess what it turns into? -blam!-ING THUNDERLORD!!! Needless to say he is longer Bitcharch to me.
