level 30's suck don't they?
yes, [i]you[/i], the [i]level 30[/i]. i have been 30 for about a month now so i'm speaking from a lot of experience when i say this:
i think all the elitism is bullshit. i have no problem raiding with 29s, the people who can't stand 29s are just shitty players with no coordination or sense of teamwork. a team of 30s can go through the entire raid without much coordination, as they can all pretty much do their own thing and still be fine. this only encourages poor cooperation, where as having 29s in the team kind of forces you to work together more. while that may seem bad, having teamwork qualities like that are way more valuable than being level 30
the raid is still quite easy with 29s if you 1) are actually as good as you think you are 2) have good coordination and teamwork
EDIT: since some of you are hyper sensitive, i guess i will make the obvious statement that not all 30's act like this. congrats if you don't, however there are still too many that do

My Titan is Level 30 due to fully leveled Raid Boots, Gaunts, and Chest and Helm of Innermost Light. But for now, I'm leveling my other Exotics. Honestly who cares if your Level 28, 29, or 30? Have you run the Raid? Yes. Multiple times? Yes. Do you have the gear to prove it? Yeppers. Good, get in my Raid group, we need a number six for Normal/Hard. Your a Hunter? Get you ass in here anyways!

I'm a level 29 and could be lvl 30, but I think the raid chest looks like crap, so I Use my heart of the praxic fire.

1 ReplyI have two level 30s at this point (warlock/titan) with a 28 hunter. When we first started doing the raid no one really cared about what class everyone was using. Now that more have conquered the raid on hard i see the elitism start pouring in. I understand why people don't want level 28s on hard it's simple they die quicker, less damage blah blah blah but how do you expect for people to hit level 30 if you don't give them a boost along the way? Doing the Raid once a week (normal) doesn't cut it w/ the RNG system.

I play with all 29's and we pass it easy Even with a lvl 28 all it takes is good teamwork and communication.

30s have their own social cast, everyone knows that.

I'll take a level 29 into the VOG over a 30 if the 29 has maxed weapons and the 30 does not. That's honestly more helpful.

3 RepliesI get it but most people prefer 30s for raids because they can take mor than 2 hits. And do regular damage. but trust me I'd take a 29 that knows how to play over a 30 who thinks they can get a spot just because their rank

Honestly I'd prefer some 29's over some 30's that I raid with. Level doesn't determine skill, just RNGesus was with you during the raid.

Aye, I agree, I only recently became level 30, I have done the raid more times than other level 30's because I haven't found boots until this week. The elitism does have to stop. I'd like to gander that as a level 29 I was skilled enough to outclass a 30 and so were other level 29s. Now that I AM 30, my opinion has not changed, now I am just a tool to better aid in my friend's goals. I will help them among many others become level 30, and won't be afraid to admit if another lower level is more skilled than I am, I mean, that's what the crucible is for. Grimoire score is a retarded number to measure how many things and what you've killed with whichever weapon or class you're using. It by no means reps skill. And as a level 30 and to all other level 30s, we were just more fortunate than others were, that doesn't make us more skilled, it just makes us better suited to help out, which is what we need to do. Not show off like -blam!-ing mongoloid douchebags

I had a 30 in my group, we were at atheon and he got teleported....he picked up the relic and had NO CLUE how to activate cleanse..... like wtf? So we had a 29 pick the relic up instead. I've beaten the HM raid easier with two 30s and four 29s, than with a larger group of 30s. I don't mind 29s cuz most of them are better players than a lot of the 30s I've raided with.

If you'd said certain 30's are idiots I'd agree, just like some 29s, 28s etc are idiots. It seems like you have an irrational dislike of all 30s.
