For us as a species to believe that our planet is the only one in an infinite universe capable of supporting life, and for us to believe we're the only intelligent life in the universe, is incredibly arrogant.

Given just how vast the universe is, there is very little chance there isn't other life out there. Is that other life intelligent? Maybe, who knows? Are we ever going to encounter it? Probably not.
