There's a different reticule in ADS? Why can't we just use smart-link scopes like was used for decades before?

 • No, god damn it... Have you even seen the new Smart-Scope? How when you use it, it zooms in, but creates surrounding geometry?
Why can't we just use smart-link scopes like was used for decades before?
This is the exact same thing.

 • That isn't the exact same thing. Smart-link scopes linked the HUD to the scope mounted on the firearm, they weren't just the helmet zooming in.

 • They were just zooming in actually. (Except for the Sniper Rifle) Smart Link tech is a general term that applies to the visor representing the accuracy of your gun, and where the bullets will land.

 • I call bs. That not only would be more complicated, but that also nullifies the point of the smart-link scopes on so many weapons.

 • Not necessarily. The scopes from the weapons feed valuable data to the visor that allows for increased accuracy and more detailed information. Best example of what I'm referring to with how your visor doesn't actually switch to a feed of the scope is the Focus Rifle. Scope in, and you'll notice the beam firing from the lower right hand side of the screen.
