I've put in more hours, and done more hard mode raids than most people. I have three level 30 characters and a countless amount of shards, coins and energy; yet I still don't have the Last Word. On the other hand, some fresh level 20 could have theoretically killed a level 3 Dreg and had one drop for them from an engram. The reason I don't have that gun yet isn't due to time played, but luck; or lack of. There are two types of people in Destiny, the lucky and the unlucky.
