Earners vs. Xurners -- lets end this now!
We all know the only way to earn gear is to put in the time and get it from raids or strikes etc from engrams.
Why do people persist to say getting coins is earning the exotics. They might as well put up a free sign and just have Santa Xur give you what ever you want while sitting on his lap.
Basically your a mouth breathing casual if your buying the trash from Xur. People need to put in the work and go do a raid for once in their life. You know a boss fight .. derp
People complaing about stuck at 29 are in the same casual boat. Do work like us 30's did you lazies. We weren't sitting at Xur feet waiting for scraps... we were killing bosses

You know a boss fight .. derp[/quote] i have done the raid around 15 times on normal, and around 10 on hard, most of which without doing normal first so i got rewards from both, i have not gotten a single exotic from the raid. RNG is not earning, doing something difficult and getting a reward you knew you would get is earning.

1 ReplyI have 2 level 30's and still buy as much as I can off xur. I have somewhat bad exotic luck. Also wasn't able to buy tons of stuff of xur that I wanted. Due to lack of coins cause I just made my second character. Which I made cause I had two full sets of raid gear for a warlock.

I've done VoG at least 15 times, I have over 100 of each ascendant material and 2 pairs of raid boots, gloves and 2 weapons to show for it and 90% of the time I go into VOG I end up having to lead from gatekeeper because people have no idea what to do. I put in time and effort to do VOG and just because the RNG is horrible for some of us you can't just say that all 29's are xurners

I know a horse trail with low lying limbs perfect for you high horse riders... I mean really, who cares how you aquire gear. I check in with xur and have made purchases - I mostly look for upgraded specs on armour I already own. Weapons - again who cares. I actually hope he has the Gjallarhorn - only two in my raid group (myself included) have one... I've dismantled two...

If you did nothing to help your team and just sat there the whole time and get an exotic, you didnt earn it. Just the same as even if you did all the work in the nightfall or something and get an exotic and "earned" it you technically didnt earn it because it is a random drop. You couldve gotten something else but RNGesus decided to give you an exotic. You do earn strange coins. It isnt a random drop. It isnt a rewards system based on performance, its based on participation. You do the weekly heroic on lvl 28 and you always earn 9 coins, and therefore earn the exotics you pay xur for. Your logic is to say you found an iphone on the street and took it and therefore earned it, but if you work for the money to pay for one you didnt earn it. Its bullshit.

5 RepliesWtong, nothing is really earned in this game it is all rng. Even in the strikes or raids what you get is still from rng. So you still dod not earn it even then. You did not do any work, you played and waited for rng to give you item. Youn did not earn it just becuase you played the raid.

2 RepliesRandom loot isn't earning. Putting time into earning currency to buy an item is earning it. If you find 20$ on the street and somebody else gets a job and earns 20$ are you going to go up to them and be like "wow git gud u fukn scrub u dnt evn ern ur muny lyke me u fegit." Just because people planned on receiving something in return for their effort doesn't mean they didn't earn it. I anything, they earned it and you didn't. I'm tired of hearing people saying that the only way to "earn" your gear the legit way is from drops. That's bullshit and drops are strictly luck. I've done 13 raids on both difficulties and I have 0 pieces of raid gear to show for it. It's all luck. So cut the shit with the whole "oh I earned this the real way unlike you." It makes no sense. Nobody in destiny earns their gear. Everyone does the same exact stuff and some people randomly get it and some people don't. So don't get mad at the people who don't get lucky for buying items from xür. That's why he's in the game.

4 RepliesWow. Another stupid post. So, ur an earner huh? U got lucky w ur 4, yes 4 raids (probably the aetheon glitch). I have 30 gear, 2 vex etc etc etc. I do not have the gjallahorn tho and have seen it drop in 5 times in this past nightfalls and hard raids. If Xur is selling it, im buying. Btw, ive been successful on 34 raids. U should dismantle the exotic armor u bought from Xur and go back to being a 28. U are undesreving to be a 30.

2 RepliesI've put in more hours, and done more hard mode raids than most people. I have three level 30 characters and a countless amount of shards, coins and energy; yet I still don't have the Last Word. On the other hand, some fresh level 20 could have theoretically killed a level 3 Dreg and had one drop for them from an engram. The reason I don't have that gun yet isn't due to time played, but luck; or lack of. There are two types of people in Destiny, the lucky and the unlucky.

3 RepliesFunny thing about "earners" I reached level 30 on 3 characters before some of my friends reached it on one. RNGesus was nice to me, not so much to others. Xür isn't what is killing the game. It's the self entitled gamers that think there is only one way to do it. Who cares honestly? It's a game, life isn't fair. Bungie just gave an opportunity for others to to get something so they feel like their time wasn't a waste (in a way it still is a waste) At the moment they still need one exotic and three pieces of raid gear to reach level 30. They can still only have one exotic weapon at a time.. why not buy something with the time you've put in to make things a tad bit easier? Or hell even a little more FUN. It's the people that complain about EVERY LITTLE THING that is killing this game. I hope they continue to ignore post like these, I hope they ignore the people that want everything nerfed. I hope they focus on the real issues this game has and not the people with post like these.. You sir/madam are the type of person that is helping destroy the community and the fun aspects of this game... /Rant
