Earners vs. Xurners -- lets end this now!
We all know the only way to earn gear is to put in the time and get it from raids or strikes etc from engrams.
Why do people persist to say getting coins is earning the exotics. They might as well put up a free sign and just have Santa Xur give you what ever you want while sitting on his lap.
Basically your a mouth breathing casual if your buying the trash from Xur. People need to put in the work and go do a raid for once in their life. You know a boss fight .. derp
People complaing about stuck at 29 are in the same casual boat. Do work like us 30's did you lazies. We weren't sitting at Xur feet waiting for scraps... we were killing bosses

And thats it from nightfall. I need 5 more exotic weapons and i earn my ass off, so if xurs sellin... im buyin. Tlw ftw.

Seriously. ...... people who have coins actually earned the coins... doesnt matter how easy they earned it.... you can put in 100 hours and never get an exotic or raid peice... or you can put in 10 and hit 30... so how is it better for you to randomly get something over people who get an item from xur who spawns with random gear..... and then how can you go on bitching about 30s earning it and put in the time and your not 30..... grow up stop bitching and play the game

Xur rules. He doesn't always have what you want, but when he does, you use your hard earned currency to buy it. As far as random drops go, I will say that obtaining loot in the wild is a little more exciting. To those stuck at LvL 29: Raid. Or do Iron Banner and get the boots/gloves

1 ReplyDespite the fact that your post is sarcasm, it's still spot on. Doing three strikes and then buying an exotic is not earning them. Getting an RNG drop on your first raid is not earning it either. The guy that did hundreds and hundreds of strikes before getting an exotic earned it. The guy that did the raid 30+ times before getting an exotic earned it. There are very few people who have actually earned their exotics.

Some people just don't have people to raid with and don't wanna socialize just to be able to play a game of raid. Destiny community sucks and especially the 30's who think they are bros while being the biggest noobs who can't stand on their feet outside their 6 players raid fireteam.

5 RepliesFor me the problem is not how you obtain it. It's all luck in the RNG. You however did put in the effort to get that reward. My problem is that you've taken something rare and special and made it common. What is the fun of feeling like everyone else? I'm not saying that because I had this gun before xur sold it that I earned it and I'm better. I'm saying that it made me feel special, not better. There is not point in all being the same that's lame and boring. It's being something different by pure luck that makes this game fun. It isn't fun if all thirties look the same and wield the same gun. That is the problem is nothing is rare. Nothing is special. So what is the point in playing if I can wait the next week to get another rare exotic? There isn't.

Disagree... I too have ploughed thru hours and hours (314hrs to be precise) and have done raids, nightfalls, weekly's and daily's.... If you get stuff from random engram drops and chests then that's just pure luck, and I'm happy for anyone that does. Not many people have the same fortunality of that... I have done Nightfalls where both of my team mates have got exotics and I've got strange coins, shards or energy, and Raids where I've only got shards and energy. Strange coins from the weekly, Crucible and Vanguard marks from strikes, and shards and energy from PE and daily's are the only things you truly earn... So I don't begrudge anyone going to spend what they earn... If they can pay the price, then they've earn't the right to buy what Xür has to offer

Point 1: the only ways to obtain strange coins is by killing and engrams. Point 2: The only way for exotics to drop is via crucible strike and raid. Exactly how strange coins are earned. Point 3: players with less than 3 characters cannot get the 27 that others with 3 can Point 4: Xur is a failsafe, not something you should count onm Point 5, final: Xurs stock is random and could have many possible combinations.

Yeh you really have to work to get to level 30 by doing the raid. I mean I've only done it 9 times and had 3 gear drops so I suppose I must not be doing it hard enough. Oh wait it that's all bull poo, as it's RNGesus who forsakes me.

Example: I did the Nightfall solo, got all the kills and invited my friend at the end to get rewards. I got an unfriendly giant (my third or fourth) and he got Praxic Fire, a piece that I wanted. He didn't get a kill or anything, did he earn it? No. I am also glad that he did get something good out of this though and I'm not here complaining that he got something better than me, just using an example to show how he 'earned it' through RNG. Another thing is that I don't get my coins all from the weekly. I might actually get more from decoding engrams. I literally do Tiger strikes and store them up until my vault is full and then decode them. I get at least between 5-7 coins per go and it only takes about an hour and a half on good days to fill it up. Which of these two seems more earned?
