In response, I wholeheartedly agree. Bungie missed something. I personally think that the greatest flaw was a lack of relationship to the civilians of the city. What is a fight without a reason for fighting? Bungie did not clearly show who the guardians are fighting for. In the Halo series we saw the emotions and actions of the civilians who we fight for as Master Chief, the Arbiter, an ODST, and Noble 6. We the players knew who we were fighting for. That is why we felt such a strong connection to the game. Destiny lacks that connection and that is a turn off to many players. If Destiny is supposed to be a ten-year franchise then there is hopefully much time for improvement. Don't let us fight for nothing.
