Some RNG Concerns

Alright, first and foremost, let me start off by saying I love Destiny. I think the game is incredible, and I've had an amazing time with it thus far, especially with the raid. That being said, I have one small concern I just want to point out. I have run the raid start-to-finish 11 times; 8 on normal, 3 on hard. I have dumped literally a couple dozen hours into just this one piece of amazing content. I don't want to sound like I'm whining, and who knows, maybe I am being ludicrous for complaining about this, but I am a little distraught that I have only recieved 1 piece of raid armor from all this effort; the helmet. Twice. I understand RNG. I get why it's in place. I just wish that there was some kind of system in place that recognizes the time/effort you put into tasks such as this. Maybe increased chances at better gear with subsequent raid runs. MMO's, and MMORPG's especially, should reward players for their time. However, I dont feel rewarded for putting so much time into the raid every week. It is demotivating to see a level 26 get a full set after his/her first run, when I want nothing more than to be lvl 30, but can't because the game fails to recognize and properly reward for time/effort. Knowing that I am even marginally increasing my chances at raid gear drops with each play-through would really help me feel motivated to keep going, even if said armour failed to drop. The raid is beginning to feel more like a chore for empty promises, and that makes me upset because I do genuinely think it is easily the best created content in the game. Again, I hope I'm not totally daft for thinking a time:reward system would be a welcome addition. I would like to think that my hours in the Vault are at least aiding my chances of reaching level 30, and that I'm not just going to be playing the Lottery of the Hezen Lords for 3 months to no avail.
