You "hardcore" halo fans need to grow up.
First of all, the ADS mechanic is no different than that of older games, except now it looks different. It is just a different appearance than the zoom function. It does the EXACT SAME THING.
Second of all, sprint does nothing but add to the craziness that is halo multiplayer, it is not a huge game changing addition.
EDIT: It has come to my attention that sprint disables shield regen. Even better for you "hardcore" fans
EDIT 2: You can not aim while taking damage.

Do Halo fans even know what they want anymore?
-
Sometimes halo fans can be worse than desticles.

I am on Sprint and I get ads all the time in my notification bar. It's annoying.
-
Thank you. MY GOD YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MANY PEOPLE GOT ON MY NERVES ABOUT THAT!!!!!!
-
343 industries releases a brand new game and no one bats an eye They add a simple mechanics in a game that's even out yet And every one looses their minds
-
I really don't like ads. I use adblock on all my browsers.
-
It's the internet dude, someone will always find something to complain about. It's happened to every single halo so far
-
This fanbase is cancerous
-
Actually ADS and zoom in halo 5 are different mechanics otherwise everything else you said is correct.
-
Im a hardcore Halo fan but I enjoy change but the only weird thing about the ads is it doesnt make sense for a spartan to actually aim down the sight but the scope is linked to the hud of the helmet so it really isnt halo but Im still gonna play Halo 5 because its gun be gud.
-
ADS covers up like a fourth of your FOV.
-
I'm not sure if the ADS will impact gameplay a lot(probably not),but I'm ok with sprint,I use it every time on reach and mobility on 4
-
I think people are freaking out for no reason. SmartScope is just scoping in made better, sprint just speeds up the pace alittle. Darting isn't a huge addition, kinda interesting. Ground pound seems Messed.
-
Spartans don't need to ADS.
-
All I know is that I like the way destiny plays compared to halo.
-
Edited by Jotaro Kujo PhD: 11/12/2014 2:35:32 AMA purely cosmetic "smart scope" is weird but I could get used to it given enough time. Sprint is an absolute no-no, even if there is a penalty for sprinting now. I thought four years of hate for sprint would have given its proponents a hint already.
-
It seems more fair that shields are disabled while sprinting an there is an ADS mechanism.
-
Halo 5 Guardians is goin to be awesome, and Halo is one of my favorite games, since I first played it.
-
I agree, but ADS changes the control scheme. The control scheme doesn't need to be changed.
-
yeah sprint got nerfed into the ground basically which is a good thing
-
I see the simple minded imbeciles have been hooked on three new letters of the alphabet; A, D and S. The majority of the Halo players are -blam!-ing morons.
-
Watched the live event yesterday which I'm sure theres youtube video's now. You would know you got nothing to worry about
-
Edited by Donovan McNabb: 11/11/2014 9:57:56 PMIt does seem like ADS is closer to a re-skinned zoom than a real ADS function. But nah, spring definitely makes Halo's competitive MP worse. "Adding craziness" is not good for the skill gap.
-
You should add that sprinting now disables shield regeneration.
Source: 343's behind the scenes ViDoc.
I agree. Everything I've seen so far is a sign that 343i is doing it right this time.
