I like destiny enough to put in 7 days worth of playing time into it. While it did not quite live up to my (and many of your) expectations, I still think it is fun to play. I have beaten the raid many times (on my tracker it says 11 but I have done many more pieces of it) and only have two pieces of raid gear. In fact, I can recall the EXACT times I received them. I got a chest piece the first time I played, and two weeks ago I got gloves. *Funny, how SEVERAL of my friends had the same luck...*
A shame, that for all the times I went back to complete the raid on hard, I never got any gear, not even a helmet. I know my situation is not as bad as others, and I think Bungie needs to guarantee that you receive one piece of gear every time you complete the raid.
REASONS:
1. Add a bit of structure to a system that is completely randomized and frustrating
2. Incentive for players to keep playing rather than giving up on Destiny altogether
3. Getting 100000000 shards/ energy would be more tolerable
BONUS: FIX THE END OF THE RAID SO THAT YOU CAN GAIN XP AND MORE REWARDS

Bump, after only getting shards, and another ship. I'm putting down destiny for the foreseeable future. The only reason I have a smile on my face right now is because I'm walking out of GameStop as we speak with MCC! Next week it will be trading in my destiny disk towards dragon age. Guardians make their own fate!
