Halo 5's "Ground pound"
I heard in the stream the ground pound will only kill with a direct hit, so what if you miss? Is there an AOE? Or is it an "if you miss, you're -blam!-ed" sort of a deal?

I've heard it does some splash damage if you miss, but not enough to kill.

Edit: other than the possibility of a huge hitbox and magnetism though, let 'em waste their slot on something so situational as to be a gimmick at best. No skin off my ass.

2 RepliesI think the ground pound will be the most annoying thing in Halo 5. Imagine all the kids running around jumping like crazy spamming ground pound on everybody. It'll be the new sprint rushers.

Edited by Kafuu Chino: 11/11/2014 8:20:28 PMIn some shown gameplay there was an AOE kill on someone with no shields. AOE will probably cause slight damage to shields, but you'll be vulnurable for a split-second while you transfer from third person back to first person.

Probably deals damage with AOE. Not enough to kill, but, enough to disrupt.
