Disconnection Issues / Developer Responsibilities

When I purchased my copy of Destiny, which I digitally downloaded, I did not see a disclaimer that indicated that I would not be able to play the game when I wanted to. I purchased the game for $60, just like everyone else out there. However, there have been many days when I just simply could not play the game at all. Every time I would start a mission/patrol and just begin making progress a black screen would pop up and some connection error would be displayed. This began for me the first night of release. I started playing the game with two of my friends and I continually received connection errors and was kicked out to the main screen. After this happening about 4 or 5 times within a half hour, I turned the game off and went to bed. Since then, I have been able to play some days without any issue whatsoever, which is great. but other days I can't do anything because I receive the errors repeatedly. I end up receiving the errors several times, turning my xbox off and trying to play again hours later. Sometimes I can play, but not always. My point is simple, I paid for a product. I expect that product to operate as advertised. I love the game when it is working, I enjoy the mechanics and the gameplay as a whole, but that is when it is working... I have never owned any game with issues like this in my life. I really think that it is outrageous for Bungie to be releasing updates to change the Raid, Nerf Weapons, and post news about upcoming DLC when the game is broken. Why would I spend more money to purchase DLC when the game is so frustrating to even play due to the connection issues? Bungie should definitely make this their priority and ensure that everyone can play before planning the release of extra content. I seen an article regarding Witcher 3 in the news the other day that I thought was interesting. 16 DLC PACKAGES will be released to anyone who buys the game, for FREE. The developers stated that they did not feel it was right to charge consumers for more content within the same game because they had already showed support and purchased the game for $60. Bungie, you should really pay attention to what other developers are doing and think to yourself, "Maybe we should make amends to the people who supported us, purchased our game, and couldn't even play the game when they wanted." UPDATE - 11/09/2014 2:09 am est I have now received "MARIONBERRY" and "JACKRABBIT" within a 30 minute timeframe. 2:22 am est FERRET UPDATE 11-11-14 1:29 am est LIONFISH
