I had brought this is up another thread a few weeks back and lately I've been thinking of it again.
So as Arc and Void are already covered, the natural progression would be for Solar damage in the final subclass. My idea is to make a true Tanking subclass for Titans.
I realize that Defender is considered that role at the moment, but it's sedentary super to me feels more like a support class.
Onto brass tacks:
Sunturion ( You so punny )
Let's talk grenades first, in lieu of names I'll be focusing on effects and mechanics.
First tier: This grenade would function much like flashbang in physics, with a Solar DoT and reduce the damage dealt by enemies effected.
Second tier: This grenade would stick to enemies and surfaces, and emit a taunting effect, having them turn their aggro to the Sunturion as well as lower their accuracy.
Third tier: This grenade would coat the ground in burning embers dealing damage to all enemies and slowing them while in the effected area.
And now for the melee abilities:
The Sunturion's melee would be a risk for reward, taunting enemies hit and increasing his health for each enemy taunted. Giving him a Come at me! playstyle a tank deserves.
Melee ability: Hitting an enemy taunts it, and increases the Titan's health for the duration.
Upgrade 1: Hitting an enemy taunts all nearby enemies while reducing their fire rate for the duration.
Upgrade 2: Killing an enemy sends out a blast of flames, any enemies struck by the explosion receive DoT, reduced accuracy, and are taunted.
Upgrade 3: Killing an enemy surrounds you in fire, which taunt enemies hit as well as syphon health and return it to the Titan.
Now for the super, and why the Sunturion is named as such.
Solar March
Upon activation the Titan summons a solar shield and spear, gains increased damage resistance and loses mobility ( No double jump, and halved movement ) You're a tank after all, not a bladedancer
The controls by button:
Main trigger: Throw your spear, causing solar damage and taunting the struck enemy.
Melee: Strike with your spear.
Offhand trigger ( Aiming trigger ): Raise your shield, blocking damage.
Grenade: Strike your shield and taunt enemies nearby.
Something I'd like to add for PvP it was my intent that the "Taunt" effect while not directly forcing players to attack you would instead make you appear clearly through walls ( similar to how enemies that kill you are shown while you wait to revive. )
I'm far from complete in my thought process, but I hope with some feedback from everyone here and perhaps a few suggestions of your own this could grow into more than just a pipe dream. Thanks for reading.

I like the solar spear idea.
