I'm not getting bored. Just discouraged week after week. Why? Because I can't acquire the elitist level 30. Those raid boots evade me every week. I wish there was an alternate way to reach level 30, especially since most of the Destinylfg.net Hard mode groups want "level 30s only", *sigh*.
Also, I dread farming materials for gear upgrades. But I enjoy most every other aspect of the game (strikes, crucible, etc..).

I thought boots could drop from normal too?

You're right, they do. But if I want a shot at the cool hard mode only weapons, or extra rolls on trying to get the boots, I have to run hard mode.
