This was originally a reply to another post, but I was sent a lot of PM's about it, many with suggestions to make it a new topic so that the players and the developers could see what was happening that I have moved it here. The point of this is to end the speculation and see what is really going on with player activity and current interest in the game. While this will only create a snapshot of any of our lists, it will in culmination provide some valuable insight as to how the community is behaving; much better than just speculating over what we think we see in-game. This is not about bashing the game, nor is this a fanboy post - anyone that reads my material will find that I stand on the fence with the game, and while I will offer constructive and thoughtful suggestions, and voice my opinion about the choices that Bungie may or may not make, I try to do so in a respectful manner - and hope that the replies here, as in all my other topics, follow that courtesy. I am curious as to what everyone else friend's list look like right now, as a measure of the popular question about people leaving the game. I know that in the past 2 weeks it has become much harder to get clan mates back together to run raids we ran almost religiously in the early weeks and the only real measure of what is going on it to look at them and see what they are doing now. Here is my current list as of the time of this post (note - the original post was done at a time when this list of players were normally coming in to form Raid groups): PS4: 48 Destiny Friends (27 are/were clan mates) [b]21 currently active[/b] [b]1 playing Destiny[/b] 4 playing COD/AW 1 Playing Crew Beta 4 playing DCUO 2 playing Warframe 2 playing Minecraft 1 playing Skyrim 3 watching Netfix 3 unknown activity 2 weeks ago almost all of these mates were active in Destiny at this time of the night. What does yours look like? Look at what they were playing - [b]only 5 of them are on something "new"[/b] that only accounts for about 25%, the other 50% went back to old games; Minecraft, Skyrim, DCUO, while the last 6 (25%) were not in any game so it is hard to say, but they were also not playing Destiny at a time when they usually did. I do not think that it was a new game that pulled them away or the percentage would be larger and the return to older games much less, instead I have to think that these clan mates and previously enthusiastic players either got bored or were upset with something and chose to return to another older game. I hope that anyone that reads this will reply with what their console's friends list activity looks like, I (and I think others) would like to see what we are seeing with activity, and what is being played right now - that would give us a clearer picture of what destiny's players are doing and will provide a better view of the current state of the game, rather than just speculating about losing players or not. The cross-section of this activity could reveal a lot more than all our speculation and since I think that the developers are only looking at the sign on numbers as a whole, this might serve to help us get Bungie moving forward with some of the much needed fixes in the game, should a discernible pattern emerge. Keep in mind that each of us, represents a much larger number of people and their opinions/attitude - your one voice is reflective of hundreds that do not come to the forums and the friend's list that you have and post in your answer is a mirror of that representative effect. Bungie knows this so lets show them what we are seeing.
