Obligatory Flood Girl Thread: Engaged.
I've discussed this briefly in some other threads, but here's the detailed version. So my would-be girlfriend who I've become friendly with over the past couple of years and was on the verge of starting a relationship with this past summer decided to attend the local Christian College as opposed to the local University where I'm at. I handled this pretty maturely, really. I respect her enough that if that's what she wants to do she has a right to do it, whatever.
Anywho, because of their rules, I can't really see her or be in a real relationship but we still talk and the interest is there, and I expect it will be for awhile because I'm just that smexy. But last night we had a talk and she's in that stage of Christianity where you think you gotta save everybody and stuff and I'm just like "Heaven ain't the point guh. The point is making our lives better and not worrying about the afterlife, cus we might not have one." But her logic is just to make sure that someone she cares so much about will be there when she dies or whatever, which is actually sweet and crap.
Anyway, does anyone else here have experience in relationships where your spiritual beliefs (or lack thereof) didn't/don't coincide with your significant other's? How did/do you handle it?

I'm an atheist married to Christian woman. She very active in the church, and lives her faith. We both respect each others chooses and things work out fine.
