Let's be honest. Are you bored playing Destiny?
We all invested a lot of time into this game. Let's be honest. We are playing the same strikes over and over and over and over again. We are doing the same exact bounties every -blam!-ing day. We are playing the lackluster multiplayer that makes everyone feel cool and strong and has a terrible small amount of game modes and maps. Playing the same weekly shit over and over and over again hoping for exotics you will never get. Waiting for xur every -blam!-ing week and he ends up selling the same shit. Hoping for an update and it never comes. Getting excited from the weekly updates that is still to be yet put into the -blam!-ing game. And there is way more. Tell me, are you bored like me and is waiting for Black Friday or are you not bored and Is loving this game? If ur not bored and is enjoying the game, tell me why. I would very interested to hear your comment

I usually play 2 hours the evening. After doing nf heroic and vog i usually help friends do them. That takes me to sunday with no boring. Then i get bored for 2 days and play some pes :)

Edited by Prototape: 11/11/2014 4:23:37 AMI was playing it daily when it came out, losing a lot of sleep and showing up exhausted for work. I still play it on weekends and sometimes on weekdays. I wouldn't say I'm bored with it, more like the novelty of it is gone. I still very much enjoy my time in this game even though I'm doing the same stuff over and over again. Each experience is different enough to keep me interested, you never know who you're going to meet out in the Wild. This being why I usually help whoever asks me on whatever task. Meeting new people and trying out different play-styles is what makes this game shine. I'm not in it for the loot generally.

I am very bored of it 6 days out of the week. Except on Tuesdays because I have a purpose. Once I fulfil my purpose I stop playing...

Honestly, I'm not bored with the game yet. It's a good stress reliever for me and while I can see why many would have a problem doing the same missions over and over, I'm really fine with it. I usually put on some music and just relax as I play the game, or some buddies and I play the raid or nightfall. Even after we've already beaten it that week, just to have fun. I'm excited for the dlc to add more and while some maps may be small, I still like to explore every nook and cranny so that'll be great to do in the new missions and maps as well.

I'm not bored. Only boring part for me, really, is farming for relic iron (even farming the other resources doesn't feel as tedious as running the chest circuit on Mars). I'm enjoying leveling my two warlocks, one for PvE and the other for PvP (trying to get the latter ready for the next Iron Banner whenever that drops). If I get bored of the warlocks I might level a hunter to have a go at bladedancing since I've got the Mask of the Third Man sitting in my vault. Sure, the game's repetitive. But so is every game after you spend 100+ hours on it. Even Skyrim, for example... sure, there were new quests and occasionally interesting storylines; but armor forging and enchanting and inventory management remained the same grind as ever, combat never significantly varied, etc. Repetitive isn't necessarily a bad thing. Heck, life itself is repetitive; I'm still happy to get up each day.

I'll be honest destiny is my go to game at the minute... I'll play a bit of advanced warfare with friends, get frustrated... Play some FIFA and NBA get bored and frustrated and when that happens I always always play destiny and have an absolute blast... Not sure if it's just me but I do love the game, smashing crucible is always fun and interesting even playing solo and doing difficult strikes is also quite an enjoyable thing to do with friends or solo... Love the game but think it's because I haven't played it 14 hours a day since release

Starting to get bored trying to hold out for dlc. With me never getting Raid gear despite having done the raid at least 10-11 times, the fact that almost all my friends are leaving for MCC and with grand theft auto coming out I don't know how much longer I can be around.. I'm hoping that come reset I can get the rest of my raid gear. Need some incentive to stick around my love for destiny is still there but slowly dwindling.

Destiny is like my favorite pair of jeans. They are just comfortable. Same with Destiny. It's just a comfortable game to slip on and play.

1 ReplyI used to do bounties daily to work on upgrading weapons and whatnot. Same with daily mission for shards. Always did 1 public event per character per day. Now? Not so much. Just waiting for the reset to do the raid and icebreak the Nightfall. And when I finally get my Titan boots for 30 I'll probably loose all remaining motivation. And you know what? Destiny was still worth every penny. I got more than $60 worth of entertainment from it easily. Great game.

I haven't played in a few days and honestly I'm not missing it at all. Probably just gonna do the nightfall on reset so I can get another legendary heavy weapon that I don't need then wait till next week...

Nope I wish it had more stuff to do or more variety when comes to armor for lvl 30 but I still enjoy.

No way are you crazy. If you are getting bored can I suggest when you do a strike, put on a different shader each time, it feels like a new game. Lol. Yep the forums are way more fun than the game now

Every game gets boring!! Stop playing the game 100hours straight and walk away from it. It will be better if you ration it out some! Its always the people that burn all there time on gaming that complain. Its like, "Bungie...i been playing this game for 12hours a day for weeks!!! Why don't you have new content...eeessshhh!" Sheeet bro!!! Get some sun and fresh air...:)

Absolutely, which is why I'm not playing it. Destiny became more of a job than a hobby and while I am okay grinding in Skyrim (because of its story) or Defiance (because of Arkfalls), I am not okay with grinding in Destiny. I enjoyed the harder Strikes, the Nightfalls, and I enjoyed my time in the Raid but after that there was just gathering spirit bloom/moon farts/relic iron. I have three characters- my 28 Titan, my 23 Hunter, and my 13 Warlock. I figured that I would get one of each to play the game with a fresh set of eyes only to discover that it was pretty much the same thing. So now Destiny is sitting back on the game shelf while other games step forward- some old and some new. I'm happy for those who can enjoy this game and a part of me wishes that I could as well, but it's not going to happen.
