We all invested a lot of time into this game. Let's be honest. We are playing the same strikes over and over and over and over again. We are doing the same exact bounties every -blam!-ing day. We are playing the lackluster multiplayer that makes everyone feel cool and strong and has a terrible small amount of game modes and maps. Playing the same weekly shit over and over and over again hoping for exotics you will never get. Waiting for xur every -blam!-ing week and he ends up selling the same shit. Hoping for an update and it never comes. Getting excited from the weekly updates that is still to be yet put into the -blam!-ing game. And there is way more. Tell me, are you bored like me and is waiting for Black Friday or are you not bored and Is loving this game? If ur not bored and is enjoying the game, tell me why. I would very interested to hear your comment
Edit: -blam!- that said no explain why
Edit: thanks for 1 thousand replies. Hopefully bungie looks at this and see what people feel about the game

Bored of the same old strikes and bounties, still alright with crucible, raid is still fun only with my usual raid group. But there's nothing else worth playing yet, so I'm still mindlessly playing.
-
Yeah, I'm bored. That's exactly why I play games, to keep myself entertained on my downtime. But when your game becomes just as much work as your job, something's up. I'm usually a PvE guy but just to stir things up I went into the Crucible today. I played the same map 4 times straight, got a different one, and then went right back to Firebase Delphi again. At this point, the only surprise is when I get kicked to orbit and even that's getting old way too fast.

Just these posts bore me

I think the economy in this game is messing up people's brains. If this were a Halo title, I'd be long past the campaign, and would be playing the hell out of multiplayer for purely cosmetic rewards. This one actually has an endgame with progression. I wouldn't expect drops or rewards or whatever. But because this game has cool rewards that actually do stuff, the need for instant gratification kicks in and people go crazy. I've heard people yell and swear because it's their second, third, fourth time doing an activity and they "only" got experience, gear perk experience, gear upgrade materials, faction points towards rewards, etc. and not just an exotic handed to them. If you play this game right, everything you do contributes to slowly moving forward towards the stuff you want. It took me forever to get certain items, but once I got them it was awesome.

Only bored when there are no good bounties out. Other than that I've been having a lot of fun doing the raid.
-
I'm not bored. Just like the Final Fantasy games and MMO's like Warframe, I loooooooove grinding and racking up hours. It's my bread and butter. Strikes don't bore me. To me, doing the same thing over and over is a practice for perfection.

Yep no one to raid with as most of the new friends I've found in destiny seem to be playing AW , got MCC coming next week so that's me done with weak sauce destiny for a bit.

Edited by IV Deity: 11/9/2014 9:26:11 AMThe things that keep me playing this game: Tuesday Salvage/Skirmish When halo comes out, I won't be touching destiny for a long while.
-
Only because of not being able to change difficulty of strikes and the crucible modes lacking. There's really not point of playing crucible either. The rest of the game is awesome but that won't keep me
-
pvp is alrite vog is okay ... i do find myself floating in orbit for 2 hours till i decide to turn it off lol
-
Somewhat, I just log on to kill time I suppose, I only look forward to the reset or some update on bungie.net, otherwise I really have nothing to do, I try to help people with raid occasionally.

Edited by aem: 11/9/2014 9:02:54 AMAt times, yes. Playing raid is what's carrying me through. Sometimes you get a team together and then just fail. But with people coming and going you eventually find a cohesive team to work together and beat the vault. The other day I Spent three hours at conduits because of just others dying. Spent another hour at gatekeeper. Being lvl 29 I though I wasn't carrying my own weight, but seeing myself always as the last guardian standing with other people coming and going I decided to stay. I know I'm not the best at carrying shield but I sure can play support well. Eventually we got some really great players and were able to defeat gatekeeper and Atheon on our initial try. Those feelings are great. I'm hoping to play with the same team next week so we can just fly by the raid...

Oh yeah and if I ever have to farm another -blam!-ing spirit bloom or relic iron or spin metal ever again for the rest of my life I'll have to blow my brains out or consider very hard what I'm doing with my life I swear that shit is the most dumb, tedious mind numbing task you could have put in a VIDEO GAME. It's like they are trying to make you hate the game sometimes I swear!

Yes, can't wait for GTA V and all it's first person goodness. I hope when that releases I'll enjoy Destiny a bit more as I'll have something else to occupy me.

Edited by NinoMH: 11/9/2014 8:57:15 AMI am. Vacations coincided with the launch of the game, so I dived deep into it throughout them. Kinda burnt out at the moment. Their promises of changes pilling on, the useless weekly updates and the slow as a snail patch cycle doesn't help matters either ;) I do love the foundation of the game. The gunplay is fantastic, the raid (without bugs) was amazing. It just needs more content now.

No. Short and simple answer
-
No. But i i have trouble finishing atheon on hard :3
-
Nope, I still have a Vault of Glass to fully explore.

Ya I had to switch just for a bit because I think I overplayed it. But that doesn't mean it is not repetitive. Basically destinys pve is playing the same strikes and missions and raids, over and over again to get better gear ( which is a grind itself), in order to play the same stirkes, missions and raids again except on a higher difficulty. Hmm something sounds wrong, well what does playing on a higher difficulty do? Playing on a higher difficulty: increases enemies health and damage. When u get better gear:increase your am or for more health and weapons for more damage. HEY!?! That's the same thing the enemies do when you put it on a higher difficulty. So basically you play the same levels over and over to get better loot s unti they become easy, which you can then scale up the difficulty to make it somewhat challenging...."Rinse and Repeat". Some people might enjoy that and no hate if you do but, in my case and many others that is what made this game become very boring very fast for a so called mmorpg, was playing same stuff until u get better stuff to play that stuff again but enemies are tougher. Tldr. You scale up with the enemies so there is no more gameplay variety once you've played everything. Ok bye.

Edited by psdissonance: 11/9/2014 2:38:28 AMWell... to be honest after having played WoW for quite some time as well as Diablo (1-3), Destiny is a bit of the same... Now, the same isn't bad because of the way it's been packaged. Destiny is STILL in its infancy; Bungie having already expressed dedication to creating more content. What's not surprising is how a game like Destiny has received negative feedback for lacking content or much of a story. In reality, if they intend (with all honesty intentions retain) on creating an epic game it's difficult to tell the whole story in what is essentially the first chapter. That said, it's difficult to tell at this stage... still quite early. Edit: That said, yes... am still having fun. The stage has been set, some of the major players have been introduced. Now all that's left is to see where they (Bungie) intend to take their game. I'm hoping it goes quite far. What surprises me is how well received Halo was, recalling that it was initially all about a Space Marine single handedly saving humanity from some big funny looking blue dudes that sometimes shot pink.

I only play during the sweet spot (weekly reset). Otherwise, I never play.
-
-
Already moved on. Only get back on to do weekly's and raid. Friday I check XLR but what's the point I have every excotic in game most likely.
-
Bored of Destiny? - Absolutely. Hate the RNG? - More than anything in the world. Still playing Destiny every day without fail? - Hell yes.
-
I am, I'm hardly ever on destiny anymore. I make some time to do the raid each week and some PvP now and then, but I just can't be bothered with destiny other than that. Makes me kinda sad really.
