Just a few weeks ago, I proudly went to the gunsmith to turn in the final phase in Toland's Legacy, the exotic bounty for which you are rewarded the pulse rifle Bad Juju. Let me tell you, I was stoked. However, after a few rounds in the Crucible and a patrol of the cosmodrome, it became clear to me that this was not the exotic weapon that I had anticipated. So I got to thinking (rather than complaining) about how this weapon could be improved from an all-talk-and-no-rock weapon to a viable pulse rifle. Here is what I came up with. Keep in mind that these are separate and/or individual improvements, rather than a list of things to add:
- Increased magazine size. Probably upped to somewhere around 18-21 bullets. You might think that this would be overpowered when combined with String of Curses, but would allow for those of us who enjoy the Crucible to miss a shot or two (and still get the kill) and maybe use String of Curses. I would recommend (for balance) 18 bullets: an additional burst.
- If the last one doesn't suit your fancy, I would recommend that you give this weapon an impact buff to the extent that you can get a kill and still miss a shot or two from your 15 round mag.
- If nothing else, boost stability a bit. This would allow players to fully leverage the Full Auto capabilities of Bad Juju without having to deal with the extra recoil.
Thank you for taking the time to read this thread, and I hope that you come away with a good idea of how this weapon could be improved.

First of all, a few minutes/rounds with a newly found exotic are NOT an adequate test as you haven't even upgraded it yet!!! Secondly, there already IS a buff to stability if you level it up enough and purchase the upgrade. I can full auto this thing with hardly any recoil when doing so. The only problem i have had is with the range, but then again having a "full auto pulse rifle" that auto reloads after a kill SHOULD have a handicap on range otherwise it would KILL everything else besides a sniper. My advice: go get some bounties, do some farming, level up this gun and THEN test it out. I have all but the last two damage upgrades and i MOW down ADS in PvE and it does all right in PvP

Edited by Woltfeld: 11/7/2014 9:33:21 PMAgreed! I couldn't wait to get bad juju! Then I had it and thought.. ok.. it sucks... but it's not upgraded yet!... so I maxed it... still sucks... Now every time I see it in my inventory taking up an extra space slot I get this sinking feeling in my stomach shortly following by regret and resentment as I think "wtf did I not get invective!!!" All the while the cursor hovers over the rifle. My eyes focused on the break down bar as it starts to slide to the right.. 20%..40%..60%..80%.. then empty.. I watch the slider do this twice more as my brain tries to rationalise keeping the rifle for some possible future use... Eventually the rifle gets thrown in anger deep into the vault yet again to be forgotten. All bad juju needs is 2 extra bursts at minimum and a slight impact buff. People who don't have it can't complain it's op because with the above 2 buffs that will put it on par with a purp pulse rifle... String of curses will put it just above a purp but not by much.. which let's be honest is where it belongs.. it is the only exotic pulse rifle and it's laaaaaaame.
