A thread specifically for those experienced raiding professors to instruct first-timers/raid-virgins/noobs how to get it done in the VoG, etc. Given that this is a raid instructional thread, it should be assumed that the [PRO]s and [NOOB]s would all have access to voice communication in order to make this a worthwhile effort. To keep things simple, here's how it'll work:
1. Professors: if you're a raid [PRO], and have the patience and interest in coaching [NOOB]s through their first few runs, go ahead and post your Gamer Tag (GT) here with your qualifiers (i.e., [PRO] bigbadblo; available from 9pm - 1am EST; if you'll have a couple higher level and seasoned buddies that you're bringing with / how many [NOOB]s you have space for, etc.).
2. New raiders: if you're a raid [NOOB], please go ahead and post your toon's info such as GT and availability (i.e., [NOOB] bigbadblo; lvl 26 hunter; looking for a [PRO] from 9pm - 1am EST). Also, please list if you have a group of [NOOB]s that you'd like to bring with you -- how many, their levels and class, etc.
*** As a lvl 29 hunter, with two Destiny buddies*** I feel the pain of having not raided due to A) lack of 5 friends, B) general raid ignorance, and C) being uncomfortable getting paired up with a 12 yr old to lead me through (I'm 35yrs). BUT, the hope is that if you're here and listing as a [PRO], you're seasoned, mature, and personally interested in helping others through the end-game content. Keep this as the standard please, and hopefully those posting as [NOOB]s shortly will be returning as [PRO]s until we've all been able to complete the raids! :)
Hope this helps other [NOOB]s in similar situations, and gives the Destiny [PRO]s a way to give back to their community. Cheers!
