Dear Bungie:
Having been a part of many a community as it has grown and prospered, I have championed on the core idea of Destiny since I became aware of its conception, ideals, and end goals.
That being said I found myself concerned following the announcement of the first DLC; a $20 expansion that seems to bring relatively few additions to a beautiful universe that already feels a bit empty. Having purchase the digital copy I was prepared to withhold judgement until I experienced it first hand seeing as I had a pass; that is until the announcement of a supposed Destiny 2 rang across the internet.
I've remained on-board and silent of most criticism towards the game on the idea that it would grow and adapt over the next 10 years. However there is a major difference between a growing universe/franchise and a regular drain on my bank account in order to gain another puzzle piece to the 100 piece puzzle I have before me.
Could you perhaps explain the thought process behind a Destiny 2 verses expanding and growing the current game?
Is Destiny 2 really a thing or internet hyperbole?
Are we only going to see 2 expansions in the foreseeable future and are those 2 only going to add a small amount of content?
Thank you for your time.
~A Concerned Fan.

The contract bungie signed with Activision calls for four destiny titles along with DLC. There will be for games.
