Edited by Elder1Herald: 11/6/2014 12:31:49 PMI have a better idea. Runs toward bat and picks up some drinks. Let's get him so drunk that we have to drive him home!
yeeeeeeeeess we neeeeeeed laser sharks!!!
The Harbinger drops down onto the floor, about 30 ft from your location. Due to the lack of gravity, it has to walk each step by plunging its talons into the ground. It will not reach you immediately.

Edited by aero198: 11/6/2014 6:22:44 PM*my rig's infected proximity alarm starts blaring in my head rousing me from my unconscious state, I lazily look back and my eyes widen and my pulse races when I see the harbinger stabbing its way toward me. The disfigured face disgusting and twisted in a murderous way. I take notice im in one of the outermost Furri hangers connected to the main station by only a single hallway with Shipmaster floating beside me and immediately start thinking of a way to escape knowing with my injuries and state of mind it would be impossible to fight the harbinger.* im going to lose my only physical weapon but I guess dying would be worse... *I disconnect a nitrous thruster from my leg and crudely attach it to my starfire katana as spots float across my eyes noticing the harbinger had closed about half the distance to us. I grab onto SM as I activate all my thrusters aiming my sword at the harbingers face* go... *as I let go of the sword it slices through its head, and continues to burn it with the thruster and heat from the sword constantly in contact. My right arm burns from the force of dragging SM as we fly through the airlock into the hallway, bouncing off the walls due to my inability to think clearly* *i throw SM into the next room and am surprised to see him drop to the ground in artificial gravity as I float through the door I'm immediately pulled to the ground. I turn to the control panel that controls the systems for the hallway and decouple it from the main station with its retro-rockets firing so as to pull it away from the station as I slump to the ground in exhaustion*
god damn... Now give me a break! I've been harassed for 2 days straight!
Edited by Shipmaster: 11/8/2014 1:01:59 AMI am jarred awake by a sudden pressure all around me. Dear god it got me....the harbinger got me...wait....no....I see light... I slowly look around myself. The area around me is hazy. I shake my head and try to focus my eyes. The interior around me slowly comes into focus. We...we are ALIVE!!! I snap into high-alert. The Harbinger. What happend. Where the hell is Aero? I look over and see Aero on the floor beside me. He appears to be breathing. Aero. Aero! Can you hear me??? I reach over and shake his shoulder....
-
god damn this is far behind now lol, gotta get back into the game
*my eyes flutter open* I need... Radiation too... Blacking out... Again..
-
I stand to my feet. Damnit....gotta get Aero to a med bay... I put Aero into a fireman's hold and slowly start making my way down the darkened hallway. I pass a mark on the wall: 19E. 19E...there should a med bay not to far away from here. I could not believe my luck. Med bay 19 was specially outfitted to accommodate engineers. As engineers we faced countless dangers and radiation was just one of them. The med bay was fitted with a special chamber that did some medical voodoo that I didn't understand and reversed the effects of radiation. If the damage wasn't too bad... I continued down the hallway...I fancied myself hearing the sick-wet sound of Plague behind me. However every time I turned around nothing was there. It's just my imagination...nothing there you idiot...just keep on moving!!!! I looked ahead of me. A long light shone in the distance. The med bay! The med bay was on separate power from the rest of the stations due to it's key role in saving peoples lives. With renewed hope I moved forward. I happened to look to my right and I say a room labeled "equipment." I should get myself some sort of weapon...god only knows what's around here or in the medical area. Cautiously I entered the room. On the walls were racks of plasma cutters, pulse rifles and line guns. I looked at my RIG. It was a mess. My HUD has destroyed, my health indicator had broken a long time ago and it was filled with cuts. If I ever am in a no-oxygen zone I am a deadman. I saw several RIGs hanging in the room. I grabbed two: one for Aero and one for me. I changed into my RIG and grabbed two pulse rifles and two plasma cutters. When Aero wakes up I have a feeling he will need these. Supplied with weapons and a new RIG I continued on to the med bay. I entered slowly...the lights were on. Thank god...no more of this see-in-the-dark shit. I immediately searched the area, made sure it was clear and then locked down all the doors. Nobody was getting in. I located the radiation chamber and placed Aero inside. I walked to the control panel and activated it. A low hum emanated from the chamber. Alright. Now we see if this thing works. I sat back in a comfortable-looking office chair. I started to relaxe...it was all good...everything was under-control. "Creak" I shot up, pulse rifle in hand. The sound of metal scratching against metal came from...above. Oh shit shit shit! What's the point of locking down an area if you can still crawl through the freakin air ducts!?!?? There were numerous air ducts but none were big enough for a man-sized creature to fit though. "Crash" I spun around. On the floor was a bent duct cover. Standing on it was...a fucking child...or what was a child...it was mutilated...it had a piece of metal sticking out of it's chest...it's hollow eyes bore through me... That's messed up... I raised my rifle and fired....

Edited by aero198: 11/9/2014 7:02:37 PM*I'm aroused by dull humming all around me and a prickling feeling crawling across my skin, looking out of the glass tube im in Im shocked to see Shipmaster fighting* Are those kids? Man that's just wrong.. Granted im surprised either of us are alive let alone both of us. *I stand up and press against the glass being splattered with droplets of infected blood and look at the control panel* 80% decontamination? Must be a R-DAD (Radiation Detox Assimilation Device). *I test my muscles and and wince due to my broken left arm but give myself the all clear, being a Promethean I have a higher tolerance so a full cleaning was unnecessary. I pull the emergency tab on the inside of the tube sliding the glass away* Alright... Almost as good as new. *I stumble out into the sound of gunfire and notice my broken rig sprawled next to a new one* You were thinking of everything weren't you SM? *My voice was hoarse. I lay down into the rig feeling it close itself around me tightly and the armor plating sliding into place. As the helmet hissed closed my HUD blinked to life, the dull blue and red colors reading my biometrics and warning me of the nearby infected and my broken arm and a number of fractures in my lower two ribs* I'm kinda going to be next to useless until we address my arm, do you have a small weapon for me? or do you have this kid situation handled?
-
*I hear Aero's voice come over my COM system.* Great to hear you are feeling better! *I duck as a Child Plague form lashes out at me with it's abnormally-long fingers ending in razor-sharp bone. I cut it in two with a shot from my plasma cutter.* I can handle it for now Aero, you need to take care of that arm. They have a robot-operated surgery room here. They could have your arm fused back together in under ten minutes. *I raise my pulse rifle and cut down two new plague forms as they drop from the ceiling* The surgery is behind those doors! *I point to a pair of silver doors across the room* Can you get there by yourself? The surgery is on a separate ventilation system because of air-born pathogens and such. So the Plague can't get at you.
-
Edited by aero198: 11/10/2014 1:44:43 AMYea I can make it on my own. *I make my way through the doors and down a narrow hallway with flickering lights* Ha! Wouldn't be a zombie apocalypse in space without flickering lights as I'm wounded... *The surgery room's blast doors open revealing a load of complicated medical equipment and a surgical table in the middle which I walk over and lay on* Med-assist, activate! Assess damage and repair. *a robotic voice sounds* SCANNING... DAMAGE ASSESSMENT- ARM BREAK IN THE LOWER FOREARM, RIBS C11 AND S12 SPLINTERED... ETA FIX 7 MINUTES... PLEASE LIE STILL... *straps clasp around my arms and legs while a clamp holds my head in place before a syringe is stabbed into my arm, an aesthetic. After moving my rig armor and suit out of the way the machine begins to cut my arm and gut open, peeling back the skin and revealing the damaged bone.* *radio* I hope you don't let anything through that door man, I'm completely defenseless in here! *The feel of being pinched becomes overwhelming in my arm as a precision tool fuses the broken half of the bone together. The same is being done to my ribs but I don't feel it at all*
-
"Don't worry man, nothing getting past me!" *I blow the head off of a Plague form. It's body falls to the ground in a heap. I scan the area. "All clear out here. How ar-" *Boom* "....you have got to be FUCKING KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!" *Boom* "Aero. Something big is outside. I don't know what it is, but the only comfort I guess is that if it was the Harbinger I wouldn't be talking to you right now. ETA on your surgery? If you aren't to high on anesthetic to answer that is..."
-
*the machine having finished with my arm seals the skin with a bio-gel and continues to work away on my ribs* *radio* Ngh... Almost done... The ribs are taking a bit longer since they weren't clean breaks... I'll be ready in a few minutes...
-
*The med bay door starts to crumple under the barrage of blows.* "That door won't stand up to much more. I gotta find a way to stop that thing from getting in here in one piece....I don't have any grenades left...there has gotta be something else around here that I can use." * A collection of tall cylinders catches my eye.* "Oxygen tanks. That will work!" *I quickly run across the room and grab one of the tanks. I throw it in front of the doors.* "It's about to be a party..." *I crouch behind a metal cabinet and take aim at the cylinder with my plasma cutter. The doors crash in with a thunderous "boom" and the awful sound of metal-against-metal makes my teeth stand on edge. A hulking mass makes it's way through the door...* "Eviscerator. This should be enjoyable." *I fire at the oxygen tank praying that it works. The tank explodes. A heat wave washes over me and the force of the explosion throws me back against another set of cabinets.* *Slightly dazed I get to my feet and look towards where the Eviscerator had been standing. A metal blade misses my head by inches and blows through the pillar to my left.* "And this, ladies and gentleman, is why desk jobs are more common." *I glance over to where the receptionists office used to be and see it is covered in blood and gore. Bloody hand prints on the floor show where some poor soul had been dragged...somewhere.* "Then again...maybe not." *a roar from in front of me sends me dashing back across the room. I stop, turn around and fire several shoots. The Eviscerator seemed undazed by the explosion or the shots. I grab my pulse rifle and empty a clip at it's head. Blood splatters all over the wall behind it but it still moves towards me.* "Cut off their limbs." *I take careful aim and start firing my plasma cutter. I place 4 shots between the armor on it's leg. The Eviscerator falls to the ground, flailing wildly.* "Aero we need to get moving!!!"
-
*The vibrations of the explosion in the other room from SM's fight shake the operating table as the machine finishes sealing the incision in my abdomen spreading the bio-gel across my stomach leaving it cold and sticky* Great... *i mutter to myself* I feel like someone just slathered ejaculatory all over my stomach... *My rig refits itself as the clasps from the table come undone allowing me to slide off the table and test my mobility.* Well I can move freely now but I feel numb all over from that anesthetic... *Coms* SM I'm on my way! *I adjust my kinesis module on my left arm and grab a handful of canisters marked "BIO-Grenades" and make my way back down the hallway towards Shipmaster.* *The med-bay was a mess, with blood splattered everywhere and chunks of meat stuck in between objects and littered on the floor but the new scorch marks from an explosion was the most impressive. I look over to SM as he slices off the legs of an eviscerator and fire a blast of kinesis energy at it to prevent it from closing any more of the small distance it was from SM.* Hold onto your butt SM this fûcker is about to be blown to hell! *I grab the plasma cutter that is laying next to my old rig and, on the run, shove a charge into the chamber well. I activate my boot thrusters sending me up high above the eviscerator. As I come down on top of it I fire a shot into the base of its neck, opening a small hole which I quickly shove one of the BIO-grenades into. I kick off just as my kinesis wears off and roll behind the reception counter just as the grenade exploded, melting the eviscerator's organic material into a pile of goop.* *sigh* Please tell me that that was the last of them...
-
*i duck for cover as Aero finishes the fight with the Eviscerator off with some fireworks. I look out from the table I was crouching behind.* "Nice job!" *i look around at the carnage around us.* "I think it's time we left this place. I say let's grab a ship and get the hell outa this system! Thoughts?..."
-
*I stand up and take some metal and electronics that were embodied in the eviscerator for scrap* Well there was that unknown colony that the ship we recovered from the station was programmed to launch to.. Is the flight board from that ship still here at Furri? If it is I'd still like to go there.
-
"I believe it is. Let's make our way to it." *I check my guns and grab some more ammo from the supply room. We head off in the direction of the hanger we left the Jade cruiser in.* "I wonder how long this base is going to last. They have obviously taken some heavy damage and the Plague is pretty prominent here."
-
did I respond to this? I feel like I did but I'm not sure...
-
idk...not sure
-
eh, then you decide what comes next lol..
-
"The hanger is a deck below us, let's hope the elevator works..." *Aero and I rush through darkened hallways. Around us are the signs of the fight that took place between the occupants of the Furii base and the Plague.* "I see the elevator!" *i push the button. The elevator doors slide open and we step inside. We feel ourselves descend for a few seconds, then the elevator stops and the doors open.* "The hanger is straight ahead." *we break out into a run. After several seconds of sprinting we reach the hanger doors.....*
-
*We enter the hanger and I spot the shuttle we commandeered not too long ago, noting the shredded engine pods and hull damage caused by the harbinger* It's a miracle Triumph was able to pilot this thing here with how damaged it is... Let me see if the navigation module is still active. *I climb into the cockpit and mess with the controls until the module slides out of the dash. It is a small chip and it appears to be in full functionality* Got it, and it looks good! Let's get this installed into that warp cruiser over there and see if we can't get these coordinates active. *We start making our way over to the mention cruiser sitting at the end of the hanger*
-
*we hear the control room door open behind us. I look back* "Oh shit" *infection forms start pushing their way through the door and flood into the hanger* "Alright Aero! It's do or -blam!-ing die!" *we dash for the ship. I turn around and empty a clip of my pulse rifle into the Plague ranks, thinning the mass of infectors headed towards us* "Aero, you get to the control panel and see if this baby works." *i position myself inside the ships door and resume firing at the advancing Plague...*
-
I hear ya! *I jump into the cockpit of the cruiser and shove the nav-card into a slot and start firing up the engines, ignoring the automated voice* PLEASE RUN IGNITION TEST AND RUN PRE-LAUNCH PROCEDURES Stupid ship doesn't understand our lives are on the line... *I activate the hanger doors directly in front of the cruiser and prepare to hit the throttle* SM! Get your ass in here, we are going now!
