I will agree and say the game overall has something's that can be fixed. But I will also say that the game itself is only the beginning of bungie's resurrection. The expansions will add more to the world of destiny, I know most of the community doesn't have money to buy two dlc. But even then they are giving things out, not necessarily connected to the story, but to the player.
Yes, the story was a weak and lacked character compared to the story from Halo 1-3. Like every new game that comes out, people tend to say it is horrible and give bad reviews (like some of the many CoD's or Halo's). But look at how many people log on and play destiny! Obviously there is a crowd of people who enjoy the game for what it is. (No, I am not saying you absolutely hate the game.)
For those who tend to "over-hype" the games that come out, tend to ruin it for themselves and others. I watched the occasional trailer for destiny, loved it and moved on. I enjoy the game and many of its features. Yes it would be amazing if they added some sort of custom game option like in halo, but I still enjoy the game as it is and await the arrival of the expansions.
Lastly, for those who enjoy co-operative stories or whatever. Invite a friend or go play something that suits your needs as a gamer.
