I'm pretty excited, so I just wanted to share. I soloed the weekly heroic, and seeing how doable that was, I decided to solo the nightfall and it worked. I know I can't solo all the nightfalls, but this one is doable, so give it a shot! (I used my lvl29 hunter.)
I have discovered one way to take out the lieutenant in the tank that I had not seen yet, so I wanted to share. First, kill off some of his minions, they are just annoying. Then get the tank to move to the left half of that clearing. Then, without being seen by the tank, climb onto the ledge on the right, and move forward slowly until you can just see one of his thrusters showing. The way that big central rock is shaped, you should be able to get it so that you can see his thruster and the top part of the tank is covered by overhanging rock. Now get out your trusty Ice Breaker, or other favorite distance weapon of choice, and begin shooting the little bit that is exposed. He will not move; he will just continue to shoot rockets into the rock overhang. It takes a while, but it works.

Super easy. My favorite Nightfall to solo. Did you know on the final boss, you can hide behind the crates on the left of the arena and shoot through the cracks?

The tank is the easiest part of this weekly, just shoot at its 4 repulsers and jump sideways when it shoots. the boss is the hard part

if you solo it was you nice enough to give out that last two spots before killing the boss I did :)

What I did was adjust the position let the mountain in the middle blocked its barrel and i can just see its two left propellers. The advantage is it never hurt me, it just keep shooting the mountain. The disadvantage is I can just shoot its two weak points, It takes a long time to defeat it.

Soloed it as usual. Ice Breaker wrecked Cabal shop.

It is very satisfying soloing nightfalls. Not all of them are easily soloable but they are all soloable. Summing pits is one of, if not the hardest to solo. Its not the boss thats hard its the part before, unlocking that damn gate.

Surely the easiest way to deal with the tank is to snipe from the roof of the tower. Don't stand near the front and if you keep aimed on the tank when it fires a shell at you, you'll be able to move accordingly. There is also the advantage that if you stand on the left of the tower roof the tank will sometimes move over too far and end up firing into the tree infront of you, meaning you can get several clips into it within being worried about dying!

Would of finished but Destinies lovely servers kicked me out right before valus....so yea...kinda miffed.

Jump up the big cliff to the left. Shoot him from far right corner of the cliff and when he fires a rocket run left and crouch. If he moves to a better vantage spot you jump from that cliff to the one you spoke of. I do that every time- never seen anyone do it.
