I feel that the community should have quite an impact on what gets added to the game depending on the popularity of an individuals recommendation. Just needed to say that, here we go.
I am not overly fond of the exotic weapons, I have even made a previous post [url]http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/74122304/0/0/1[/url] regarding a new tier because I feel they are very under-powered in terms of creativity (not dps) and rarity, they barely look unique enough to satisfy aesthetically, their effects are lackluster and should be impressively designed to awe. I want to compile a list of unique effects for Bungie to take from... Everyone needs help now and then, if they see this post it will only increase the chances of exotics becoming more special to us, voice your ideas now. If nothing on this list inspires, I simply suggest Bungie to be more creative in their approach to exotic weapons from their own ideas. Please suggest more effects or changes to listed ones.
1. [b]Stacking effects:[/b] +dmg, +reload sp, +stability, +fire rate, ect.../per-kill - wipe on death
2. [b]Bullet de-buffs[/b] (against target): Slow target move speed, inflict bleed (reduce recovery speed), ect...
3. [b]Bullet buffs[/b] (yourself and allies): Shoot allies to heal them, life steal, shoot to increase agility, ect...
4. [b]Target effects:[/b] target explodes on death, damage to target inflicts aoe "plague", ect...
5. [b]Roll the dice/random effects:[/b] roll weapon effects/stats (solar, arc, void) on reload, or kill, or death.
6. [b]Proximity effects:[/b] bullets explode when near the hitbox dealing X damage. Target (when hit) inflicts tesla chain dmg to near targets for X damage.
7. [b]Double edged sword:[/b] precision damage increased, body damage decrease (or vice versa) or bullets do extra damage on hit, missing a shot inflicts X damage to yourself.
8. [b]Frenzy:[/b] successive shots make enemies hyper aggressive and enables friendly fire on them.
9. [b]Insult to injury:[/b] successive critical damage increases with each shot - reset on miss
10. [b]Trigger finger: [/b]automatically fires a shot when sights are on a critical target
11. [b]Personalized war head:[/b] rockets have the same effect as your equiped grenade after the preliminary damage (shockwave, axion bolt, ect..) - best for rocket
12. [b]Memento:[/b] successive shots increase rate of fire and stability
13. [b]Concussive slug:[/b] fires a large slug that explodes on impact and sends foes reeling - best for shotgun

Edited by Urbane_Rebel: 11/9/2014 5:57:02 PMExocits are just guns and gear that was used by kabr and his teammates although alot of them are pretty underwhelming due to nerfs and cry babies they tie into the story they are meant to have a meaning as opposed to an edge against its opponent plus a weapon is only good as its user like the picket infinity before the nerf that my friend was an exotic and your idea was pretty cool

Ballistic proximity mines- bullets explode when the pass near a target (basically increases the hit box of the bullet) (auto rifle) Shield shatter- bullets destroys shield at the same rate as the correct element and cause extra damage to the target when the shield breaks (fusion rifle) Only perfection counts- precision damage is increased two fold and body shots are reduced by half (sniper rifle) Frenzier- successive shots make enemies hyper aggressive and enables friendly fire on them (pulse rifle) Insult to injury- successive critical damage increases with each shot (scout rifle) Trigger finger- automatically fires a shot when sights are on a critical target (hand canon) Personalized war head- rockets have the same effect as your grenades after the preliminary damage (i.e. void grenades leave a pulsing shockwave after destination, incinerate grenade catches everything on fire in the blast radius, stick grenade does extra damage if the war head hits the enemy directly, ect.) Memento- successive shots increase rate of fire and stability (machine gun) Concussive slug- fires a large slug that explodes on impact and sends foes reeling (shotgun)

maybe ways to switch damage types. like clicking a button will switch from arc to solar or void or something.
