I tried to solo a waresat the other day on the moon. It was near the hellmouth and both Hive and Fallen were spawning. I think I died like 4 times and ended up only getting a silver. I hate how as soon as you shoot at one side, both sides stop fighting each-other and turn to fire on you. Also here is one time when you don't have the luxury of waiting for a 5 minute ammo synth timer. I could have really used another half dozen rockets to help clear those idiots out. I love the public events though, I'm glad they happen pretty regularly. Having more rare ones where there is a super boss as described would be nice, but it might not be great if you are trying to solo it.

Warsats can be defended solo. Get a gun (scout rifle) with firefly and use elemental damage. Use your grenades and optimize your armour for dicipline (grenades cooldown). Also dying one or two times does not effect a gold outcome. You just have to kill as much as possible in the given time. ;)
