So do you think free dlc will be of a higher quality that paid dlc? I wouldn't put in any effort if I wasn't going to be paid.

  • Dlc was already made and is actually already on your disc, they want you to pay them an extra 35 for them to unlock a part of your disc for you, they ban you if you glitch into the doc area and pick up the ghost shell there.

  • Ugh I have said this before. Maps of some of the dlc areas are already part of the game code but do not constitute the amount of content that makes up the dlc. If you have proof that the whole dlc is already on the disk then proove it.

  • Fixing the story in a DLC/patch would bring fans back and make them want the add ons, makes business sense to make the fans happy. I don't know anyone that is happy with the rubbish they call a story.

  • You argue like our politicians in the state legislatures, meaning you do nothing but speak in circles without actually providing any additional insight or information.

  • You use the same argument over and over Dz. Stop antagonizing posters on this forum to argue. You are essentially trolling and being an ass by poking holes in everything anybody says. I understand everybody's concerns and frustrations concerning with the lack of story and dry story related content in game. I agree, for a work of bungie, the content is and should be unacceptable. There won't be anything free content other than bug patches for this game and everybody needs to realize this. Bungie's name as a developer is known for telling a level of story found in the halo games. This title has been out long enough and has had enough criticism dealing with the lack of story. It is time that Bungie get a PR team together and sit down to release a statement "not in text only" (podcast, xplay interview, ect) to address these concerns, complaints, and fan/consumer interpreted "shortfalls". Like it or not, "fanboy" or not. Bungie's reputation is in a precarious spot right now.

  • Now you have brought up a great point; the petition should be for Bungie to clear the air or what was interpreted to be content available at release or if it was content that they have been working on already with the intention of "hey, this idea would be GREAT for the first few DLCs, and by working on it now, before release day, we are ensuring that the major content updates will be rolled out on time, not promised and held back month after month" If Bungie did the latter, and was unable to deliver DLC content updates and releases on time that would likely hurt their reputation far worse than a release that was a little shy of perfect - I expect them to stick by destiny for the long term, not bail shortly after release like so many developers seem to do now a days. The underlying point of my argument is this; I read the thread last night and I see this as a cry for a boycott against the game, which I would expect to cause more harm than good to the product that we all want to see improve over time. There's more than one side to every argument, and I feel that a demand for free content is not the right way to go about trying to influence this game into a better product, as a consumer. Continuing to provide feedback, playing the game and sending your money to the developers through optional DLC purchases is, in my opinion, the best way to support the development of any game long term, again as a consumer/gamer.

  • I agree with you. However I would really prefer for Bungie to get a PR team together and address what seems to be avoided so far. Before I spend my money on any future DLC.

  • Yes word directly from Bungie would suit this community better than theories thrown about by those of us who are not within the loop working at their studio. I agree entirely on the notion for a PR team to address the community's concerns. I'll point out I have yet to purchase the DLCs, but as I've stated I plan to buy them so long as I'm still playing the game when they are released. The little patches and live community events such as the Iron Banner or Queen Jennah's event should keep the majority entertained between DLC updates. They have worked so far, I'm curious to see what other events Bungie will throw at us.
