After spending this weekend with my headset on, during the Vault of GLass listening to a bunch of teens bicker over why Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is or isn't going to suck, How much Infinity Ward is better than Treyarch, and how they are not going to school to play the Day Zero Edition, I realized that I desperately need new friends on PSN. Almost all of my acutal friends have an XBox and I personally don't like the thing. SO...I am stuck making friends at random during Public events, Strikes etc. I am a 30 yr old man with a wife and a 10 month old. I am trying to start my own business and things get rough. From time to time, I like to take my frustrations out on the faces of aliens with well placed scout rifle fire. I had a headset, but I decided to keep it on mute because really, all I wanted was to get this raid done FINALLY! (But that didn't happen because the two kids who were the most boastful and the most chatty were also the two who COULDN'T SHOOT WORTH A DAMN!) I don't need want to hear about how COD is better than every other game ever. I don't want to hear teens talking bull because there is no parent there to check their language. I don't care how your dad just got (insert newest gadget or game here) because he doesn't know you're actually failing your English class. I don't want to be in a party full of kids who spout random rap lyrics because it's the only part of the song they know. And I REALLY don't need to be in a party full of white boys who want to say the "n-word" sooooooo badly that every time they do, they snicker a little bit because they don't think that anyone in the party is black. (I'm black by the way) Sure I could've jumped in and said something to them but to be honest....why? I've worked at Gamestop and Bestbuy. I've seen these types of kids in person. I've seen their parents. I've heard all the bull the parents give for letting their child talk and act in such ways. I know the reason this child is about to get the most violent video games on the market and I also know why he thinks it's ok to say whatever the hell he wants just because it's no one can see him. I'm not here to parent these kids or even argue with them. I'm here to play and have a good time before I have to get back to the grind. I'm looking for adult, mature, cool, down to earth gamer friends. I am looking for people who just want to play, get some sweet loot, get up to that illusive level 30, and kick some darkness ass.
