I did get a few shaders after strikes, but for the most part I was just getting ammo (and not synthesis either). I bought every piece of armor except for my queens armor pieces (and that is only because they were a probability of 1). My weapons were the product of leveling up my Cryptarch via buying engrams, and leveling up vanguard and factions, or buying them from vendors using currency. That is not looting, it's purchasing.
