DeeJ, please explain this to me, and the community.
While watching the Bungie Bounty: Mentor Edition (http://www.twitch.tv/bungie/b/583620820 @ 1:03:00), I heard you say [i]"I don't remember us doing that. Do you? ...remember that? I don't remember us doing that."[/i] in a tone that I would call off-putting with a hint of disingenuous.
So, please explain these things to us:

I will take silence, or parroting the nonsense we were fed by the Bungie President (http://www.gamespot.com/articles/bungie-explains-why-some-destiny-dlc-is-already-on/1100-6423327/) as admission of guilt.
Thank you for your time, Deej. Please respond with as much honesty as Bungie and Activision allow. As it stands now, I am prepared to do everything in my power to get a full refund if I am still dissatisfied when both DLCs have been released. From what I have seen thus far, I am almost certain to be disappointed.
Give us some transparency, restore our faith in Destiny. I want to love this game, but Bungie is making it really, really hard. (If you doubt me, just check my stats).

I think this sums it up nicely. Probably not something they want us to know, but if we heard it from Bungie directly we might be a bit more forgiving (except for the part where we pay extra money for what should have released with the game had things gone as planned)

752 RepliesFor now, I'm being factual about the DLC and the experience it is designed to deliver. You'll need to make your own choices about what you believe to be the value of these things. They represent a sincere effort on our part to entertain you. Dissecting the videos we released during the exploration of what we wanted Destiny to be is an education on the chaos of development. Things change. We adapt to what we learn. Sometimes, we abandon what we think isn't working. You're asking for transparency, but also punishing us for over-sharing the nuances of our creative process by taking concept work as promises. I give vague answers because the things I say amount to checks the team has to cash. I've never lied to you. I knew I would love playing Destiny with this community, and I do. I invited people to join me in this game, and I'm having a blast playing it. You are welcome to express yourself if you're not satisfied, but I'd love to arrive in a world where such sinister accusations didn't compete with the conversation about how we can make Destiny better. Your opinions about Destiny are valid. I'd love to learn from them. I came to this forum looking for feedback I could share with the team. They wouldn't have released this game, as it is, if they didn't feel that they could cover their tracks. Most of these "conspiracy theories" really aren't coming from a crazy thought process. It's just plain common sense that many features should have been in this game if it was believed to be reasonably thought out. Same goes for the miniscule amount of story that can actually be accessed and learned from the game itself and not a third party app.(Sure, make an app that complements the game if you want to....but that's neccessary for its story? That's ludicrous.) And that's all I have to say about that.

I saw the e3 and another video on youtube thst was saying how we would be able to customize all this stuff so i preordered the game and never checked back in to see how it was going.........big mistake! I am so upset i wont to throw it away but there goes $100 bucks down the drain, and there is nothing more i hate than wasted money!!!!!!!!! I should have cod then i could play with my brother and my friends i know, i could play off line at GRANDMA'S, and i would have said money well spent! Im PI$$ED!

Yeah they did screw us but like deej says, ranting isnt gonna help change destiny. Whats done is done, offer suggestions to bungie so they can make the future of destiny better for the players.

I got through the Videos 1-4. Videos 1& 2 were bs. Its there, it just looks like modifications were made for the final release. But Videos Numbered 3&4 Are Totally On point. Whats with all those Missing Strike missions?? Where's Saturn? Why Can't I do Anything on Mars??? Why does this game have so many Holes? There's no denying it, Bungie screwed us. Its Not worth the money we spent if we're not recieving what was Promised.

I get it it was over hyped I get it there are bugs I get it there isn't that much content but damn every game in the world that has a future brings more content in the future its called smart business there not here to make games for free. It's been out for 2 months, TWO MONTHS, Not 2 years, 2 months. 90% of the people that are complaining about this game and how they hate it so much look at there profiles they still play like crazy. And yes DEEJ is doing damage control because at the end of the day it's his job and he needs to survive. Just as all of you would do Seriously give them some time to figure it out, and if by the 6 month period if nothing significant changes then by all means say -blam!- it and quit. Let's just not all act like this is the worst game ever created.

I enjoy the game for what it is but reading all the sources I understand more and more why people are so frustrated. When you order a steak meal and get oysters (hey oysters still have pearls!), they're still delicious but you can't stop thinking about the steak.

Ur geting a load of content in each expansion not just a few crappy pvp maps like other games. If u cant afford 20 bucks every 3 months for a bunch of great new content you are doing something wrong with your life.

1 ReplyI had to go cook some popcorn just so i could sit and read this trash...... at the End of the Day its all in the EULA, Bungie has the power to change any aspect of the game that they think will make the community enjoy it more, all the people bitching about Destiny need to clam the Fark down, its a pretty cheap game with no Subscription Fee, you all sound like spoilt brats. Deej keep up the good work, the game is still in its early days, hopefully in a month or 2 alot of the issues will be fixed (ie. fix Mythoclast PVE damage asap)

I'll be honest, after watching that E3 2014 trailer I can't find anything in it that wasn't in the actual game on release. The guy talking might be off the mark but the content you can see clearly isn't.

181 RepliesClearly, you know nothing about game development. Truth is that the DLC was started 6-12 months ago -- Which by the time the discs were pressed, most of that content was already finished. That's how every game that's followed this development structure, has functioned. Period. Just because those assets exist, on the disc or in the game, does not mean we are entitled to them, period...That's how software design on every MMO in history has worked. The area is pushed and LATER it's populated. Further -- If you had bothered reading Bungie's EULA at any point -- You do not OWN any content on the disc or other -- You're actually leasing the right to play Destiny on Bungie's servers, thus no content is yours, regardless of if it's on the disc or not -- Standard MMO EULA. - Which is why no Class Action Lawsuit will EVER WORK...It's not YOUR property. Quite frankly, I think you're all blowing this incredibly out of proportion...

Lmaooo they never cuted content from the game the places that you see where u can glitch into are parts of the maps that try just got finish there not even done with any on the expansions This what bungie do: when they got like a piece of the expansion map part done they'll upload it into the game so it won't take up download space and more time to install the map they never cut content from the game

For the record, I believe both options A and C are true. I don't think we will ever get the original intended story as well as content was cut for dlc. The latter just being the common business practice today. Companies don't become the most profitable in their field by being ethical.
