Prologue: Resurrection The land is barren. The war with the Darkness has taken its toll on the once lively land of Earth. Our story will start in the Cosmodrome, where our Ghost has just revived our Guardian. "Hello? Hello!? God I hope it worked." An unfamiliar robotic voice says to you as you slowly open your eyes. The light is blinding. Your whole body aches. "I don't have time to explain yet, but I will later. Don't worry, you can't talk yet. It takes a while for your body to fully adapt to your new life. But you have to trust me." Roars sound in the distance. "We need to get out of here! Go, now!" Ghost says as he disappears into the armor you just realized you were wearing. You sprint to an opening inside a rusty building near a now broken dam. "I need to find you a weapon. Hold on while I try and locate one." Ghost says. "There! Grab it!" Ghost motions towards a box which you promptly smash open. It's a rifle! You grab it. You suddenly hear a shriek as one of those creatures you heard earlier walks into the room you are in. You gun him down, amazed by your now apparent combat knowledge. "Let's get out of here." Ghost says. You run out of the building to an open area where your eyes adjust to the light. "There! A ship! We need one to fly to the Tower." Ghost yells. "Don't worry, I'll explain on the way!" You dodge the shooting enemies as you huddle into the area your Ghost said to go to. You see a broken-down ship but you take cover near it as more creatures run inside and shoot at you. You try to talk and you succeed. "How are we gonna get that up and running?" You ask as you shoot at the creatures. "Well, you tell me." Ghost says as he teleports himself and you into the ship, turning it on, and flying out of there into the clouds.
