Spot on. Honestly, it's really not even about the story and content (most likely approaching assuredly) being gutted from the shipped game that really disappoints me. I can get over that scam as it is fixed. What gets me is this bubble that Bungie seem to b operating in. At this point I think it's more dedication to ignorance than it is just plan balls to come out every week w/ a painted smile on their face and say that they r listening to their community while not addressing a single issue. Ever. I understand and agree (even appreciate) learning from their mistakes and not wanting to over promise and under deliver. I know it's probably exponentially more difficult than I imagine to weed thru forum posts to separate constructive ideas/feedback (like ur post) from the entitled, destructive posts made from vitriol and anger (but still passion...). But there r no shortage of either category present every min of every day on these forums. Bungie actually has a lot to b proud of in this game, and they should b, and no company can come right out w/ a mia culppa and not expect to get crucified for it. But they continue to act like they r working from a place of hard earned trust from their community. Sure they had, and earned, that at one point. But they pissed that away like yesterday's news. Much like that kid we all know who peeked in high school, they can't admit they're not still the coolest game in town. Instead, they address their talking points as they see fit and make up an imaginary community that agrees w/ everything they say. That's why they disable comments on all of their hotfix news posts. Just a slight, even vague acknowledgement that they understand and see what happened would revive a lot of trust in them from me. The same thing happened to them w/ Halo 2. Story was gutted last min., etc. But they seem to think that this time will work out the same way for them in the end (and hopefully it does). I don't know how else to explain their attitude. But that attitude is why I have pretty much lost all hope in them, not the amazing, beautiful, but ultimately hot mess of a game they sold us.
