I have been stunned by the reaction some people have had to the release of Destiny as I think it is at heart a great game with huge replay value, however I do feel that the story is a complete disgrace and Bungie should be ashamed of including the phrase "rich cinematic storytelling" on the back of the box. It's more like "half baked nonsensical bollocks" but I did enjoy the missions anyway regardless.
The question I have: is there hope for Destiny?
Are people so pissed about the false advertising that they will abandon the game?
I think that it can only get better to be honest and if the dlc adds a good chunk of content plus Bungie offer more free updates and changes to the core product then I think it will actually become awesome.
People forget that Activision and Bungie have already made a killing from the game so I doubt they really care what we say anyway. I think the pricing of the DLC is a joke to be honest but that's the way it goes. The PvE needs a serious dose of content to make up for the gaps in the game but sadly 3 missions doesn't sound very much at all.
I for one plan to continue giving it time to evolve as I am not hammering the game for all its worth on a daily basis (sadly don't have time to these days) just enjoying a couple of hours a day. I have great fun with it and haven't spent so much time exclusively playing 1 game since fallout 3!
What does everyone else think about it?
