ascendant shards
I need to get ascendant energy to upgrade my exotic weapon. What options are there to acquire the ascendant energy? I get random drops doing strikes but I would like to be more deliberate in my attempts. Thanks DoD for your reply.

The Daily story mission on LvL 28 is guaranteed 2x Ascendant Material (Energy or Shards). If you have a Alt Character that's 4x a day. Blam!!

I need to run some raids and night falls, let me know maybe we can get a group of dads together and run a raid, we will do it dad style break our the wooden paddles and skinnny ass tree branches and whoop OK atheons ass.

Public Events/Daily/Weekly/Nightfalls & VOG seem to be the best places. I got 11 Energies from the nightfall this week. You can also break down Legendary weapons that you don't need.

The raid gives exclusively these things. You'll be swimming in shards and energy after a run.
