Not cool Bungie. I spend my coin on an exotic engram and get one I can't even use. I'm not spending another 15+ hours grinding a Warlock character just so I can use this damn helmet. Why does your engram system give me an item I can't use? I can't buy vanguard armor for my Hunter with my titan, so why should I decrypt a warlock helmet?
This needs to be fixed.

Probably so you will start a second or third character so you put in more hours in their game? Dude how can you not understand this?
-
Yes random engrams will decode into a rancom class as per the description.
-
Any legendary or exotic armor produced from any engram is produced for a random class. If you aren't going to create a warlock, you can break the item down for ascendant shards. Those can be used to help level up your current character.

From my experience you get warlock items from titans, hunter items from warlocks, and titan items from hunters. Just make a dummy hunter character and shift all your motes of light to it.

So why can't I buy warlock armor from ikora ray then? I understand how the system works but this seems like a poorly designed system to me
-
They are random and say so before you buy it.

Seriously? It tells you that it's a random class engram.
