Things that make it an MMO
1)Focus on Instanced gameplay with small teams with PUG and dedicated teams alike
2) Open World Farming with non-shared worlds, many different people on the map at any given time
3) Crafting system (Xur, each planet having materials, shards, etc)
4) "Town" area type place for collecting quests from NPCs and find players to run things with
5) The bounty system
6) Emphasis on class balance
7) PVP is largely unranked, status comes from community rather than the focus being ranking up on leaderboards with evolutionary competitive gameplay as new PVP ranks are acquired.
8) The strong relationship between PVE and success in PVP
9) Open world events
10) Open world does not have shared goals, everyone is doing their own things
Things that make it not an MMO
1) Difficulty communicating with others (will be fixed at a later date)
2) Lack of player trade
