Something REALLY needs to be done about the loot system, particularly in the raid... I now have 5 chatterwhite shaders, 3 hunters cloaks, 2 warlock bands, 3 raid shotguns, 2 raid scout rifles, 2 raid sniper rifles, 2 hunter chest armor, 2 hunter gloves, 2 warlock robes, 2 warlock gloves, 2 legendary ships, and 0 raid auto rifles, 0 raid hand cannons, 0 raid fusion rifles, 0 raid rocket launchers, 0 raid machine guns, 0 raid sparrows, 0 helmets... I think you know where I'm going with this. I have friends that have the opposite, they have a ton of weapons but only one piece of armor, or have gotten the same armor 4-5 times.
At this point, the difference between level 29 and 30 is pure dumb luck... I have a friend with 3 titan characters, he has done the raid 3-6 times per week since the beginning; he is still at 29 because he is missing the boots... you either get your missing pieces or you don't, pure chance and zero skill... I was level 30 after my second raid because I happened to get all the armor and had an exotic helmet, but if took 6 times before I got a weapon. And now with the random teleporting at Atheon, the raid is so @#$#-ing frustrating, I've spent more time trying to complete a 'normal' raid then I ever did on a 'hard' raid (doing it legit of course) because half the people have no idea what they are doing anymore... So, I really have no desire to spend nearly 3 times longer playing content just so I can NOT get my missing weapons, and get yet another armor shader, or my 70th shard(super useful for a level 30 character, the level cap would have to be in the 40's for them to be useful to me now). So I'm thinking I never, ever, EVER want to do the raid again... I know one guy who is actually DISMANTLING vex mythoclasts, because he has FOUR OF THEM!!! This is bad for the community, and it is bad for Destiny.
Please, Please, PLEASE!!!! put some form of trade system in this game... even if its something like, 'you must trade an exotic for an exotic' etc. I understand you want to avoid a destiny black/secondary market, and that is completely reasonable, but there IS a solution here... Otherwise, you WILL lose players, people are getting so frustrated, I know a guy that made a video of him snapping his destiny disk in half, immediately after he got the vex mythoclast, because he had done the raid so many times, and it was the only thing left that he felt he needed to do, and it had gotten to the point that he was no longer having fun playing the game, it had become a second job. I know he is not alone in this sentiment, I hear "god, I hate this #%$@-ing game" at least once every single time I play in a fireteam/party, and they are almost always random people I met on forums, either here or destinylfg.
Something needs to be done, bungie, deej, dev's, anyone who will listen, please do SOMETHING, ANYTHING, about how loot is obtained; a Trade System or a 'Loot 2.0' on the next hotfix. Maybe the game could recognize what is in an account's inventory, and have a limit of 3 of any particular item at any one time? or maybe you have to get all the loot gear before you start getting duplicates... All I know is there is absolutely no reason for having more than three timebreaker's, or chatterwhite's etc, you don't even get anything for dismantling them...
Also, one should NOT get less strange coins for doing a Nightfall, than from doing the Weekly Heroic Strike. It happened to me this week, 8 strange coins!!! YAY!!!
P.S. What happened to all that talk about the bad juju and thorn getting buffed so they are competitive with other exotics, or at least legendaries??? Or the actual 'bugs' in the vault of glass, like the portals not always working during the Atheon encounter???

I would like to see a performance based loot system with an increase in drop percentage depending on how well you play.
