Bravo TwoBeersMears!
You just described VERY accurately how hundreds of thousands of Destiny players feel and miss about this game. The emptiness of Destiny makes NOBODY feel like a Legend. There is nothing Epic, no story, no fight for survival.
In fact: Beating all these "bosses" sooooooooooooooo many times give me the sense that Humanity is actually on top of things. There is No fear, NO sense of impending doom. There's just grinding for materials and armor. DESTINY FEELS MORE LIKE A TRIP TO THE GROCERY STORE; We do it every day, we get what we want of our list, and we leave. Done.
Bungie NEEDS to do something here. Time is running out and I see Destiny bleeding to death. So many players are about to quit (or have already given up on Destiny).
PLEASE BUNGIE, HEAR YOUR COMMUNITY, TALK TO US, PLEASE!
I still believe, but even my faith is waning. Don't let Destiny become "an idea that could have been", make it "the idea that it should be"!
(and please, I beg of you, don't let money or greed corrupt this piece of Art...)
(and please, I beg of you, don't let money or greed corrupt this piece of Art...)
Way too late for that, given that their initial completed game (which still probably would have fallen short of people's expectations and early hype) had chunks taken out intentionally to make overpriced dlc.
PLEASE BUNGIE, HEAR YOUR COMMUNITY, TALK TO US, PLEASE!
If only. Would be a really nice to hear some sort of explanation, or....anything, in answer to the rumble sweeping through countless Bungie fans, current, wavering, and former. Everyone is wondering the same thing: wtf has been going on at bungie in the last year and is this really the game they intended to make. But -blam!- it all I guess.
